Well, it didn't seem that difficult to ask the most obvious question, really, the only question: "why have you decided not to run,"I think the answer to that is obvious - as is the reason Leslie didn't ask. algore's SNL appearance was supposed to give him a new image - I dunno what they were thinking, but maybe as a funny, warm guy. Sort of like W.
I don't like al at all, but I couldn't watch much of that. It was painful. I think the reaction to the show doomed his chances.
He's had more image changes than Win. And like Win, he hasn't found a version that works yet. :-)

Ain't I a stinker?

The media will set her up higher than Jesus before it's over. I share your fears. However, I am hoping that Bubba will take her out of the action. He is the one person who could do it. I really can't see the egomaniacal Bill sitting by and letting Hillary! have all the power and glory. I truly think he will do or say something to sabotage her dreams of the Presidency.
She played along and got him to the Presidency. Don't expect him to reciprocate. She truly is a fool if she thinks he will help her. He truly is a fool if he thinks she would share power with him once she got it.

What do you mean, "it's going to get ugly from now until 2004" ...
It's going to be ugly every day of every year from now until dooms day! Get used to it. If there is some tacky thing the dems are doing to us that we don't like ... just hang around for a few minutes and they'll think of something else.
Rush told us to expect this ... and the dems seem to get funnier and funnier the longer they are out of power.
I heard tonight that Hillary is planning on running for president in 2004 (gee, how did I know that). This is going to be down and dirty. We better get our chapters up and running so we can combat the media onslaught against our President.
Let's Roll!!!

I'm letting it slide tonight because (I'm hoping) this will be the last time we hear from Al Gore.
I'm also hoping to win the lottery. We'll see which happens first.

Oh, and another question: If you are able to withdraw it, do you get to be the King of England?

Don't count Gore out. This may be simple calculation-- he sees Bush as unbeatable in 2004 and wants one of his potential 2008 opponents to take the dive.

When msnbc finally dies, I'd enjoy having another cable news outlet take its place. I've been a news/current events/political junkie for 40+ years now and appreciate
good reporting and journalism.
I'd say we agree most of the time and in my book, that simple fact means we are political allies. We're on the same side.

Forgive me, but after reading your post, I am somewhat unclear about your characterization of our esteemed former president.
Would you kindly eloborate a little, just to make sure that I have not misinterpreted how you really feel about him.
Thank you

The liberal media started the assualt on the Republicans since the election results came rolling in on November 5, 2002. Look at the examples: Saudi-Bush connection, the condemnation of Fox News and radio tslk shows as tools for the Republicans. We should not forget that Gov. Barnes (D) was spending election night in the same suite with Isaacson (head of CNN) in Atlanta, Georgia. Roger Ailes sends a short memo to Bush after 9/11 that he should go after the terrorists and the leftie media went hog-wild. And now the Trent Lott hyped-up "scandal."
It's going to get worse people; however, the first step is to recognize that this is happening and then start our counter-attack.

Algore is going to run in 2004. What he says now means nothing. The election is almost two full years away. No one wins the popular vote without running again. Hell change his mind, Spring 2004. Bet on it.

My guess is that Bubba is probably trying to get in her pants. I wonder if we will hear of her husband committing "Arkancide"
Bubba likes those married women with big bucks

It's possible of course, but by 2008 Gore will have been out of office for eight years, and I think it will be very hard for him to maintain the high profile, set of contacts and donors, etc. that it would take.
I actually take him at his word when he says this was probably his last best chance to run.
