"...a parody on The Doors' song "Changeling?"

I love FReepin' Morrison, but I do not recall that particular song. I don't believe it is on "The Best Of..." Do you know which CD I can find it on?

BTW...thanks fer the idea. "OperationSuperFReep" definitely needs a theme song...LOL!!

Methinks we shall achieve a multi-cultural breakthru when you taste it, my Irish FRiend. I'll cook it up and get some to jla, but it's up to him to get it to you...MUD

None of yer suggestions are on the list, HappyGal...I'm startin' to doubt that yer even Irish...SHEEEESH!!

Here's one, pre-FReep..."Clancy Lowered The Boom!!"

Now Clancy was a peaceful man
If you know what I mean,
The cops picked up the pieces
After Clancy left the scene,
He never looked for trouble
That's a fact you can assume,
But never-the-less when trouble would press.
Clancy lowered the boom!

Chorus:
Oh, that Clancy, Oh that Clancy
Whenever they got his Irish up,
Clancy lowered the boom!

O'Leary was a fighting man,
They all knew he was tough,
He strutted 'round the neighborhood,
A-shootin' off his guff,
He picked a fight with Clancy,
Then and there he sealed his doom,
Before you could shout "O'Leary, look out!"
Clancy lowered the boom!

Chorus:
Oh, that Clancy, Oh that Clancy
Whenever they got his Irish up,
Clancy lowered the boom!

O'Hollihan delivered ice
To Misses Clancy's flat,
He'd always linger for a while,
To talk of this and that,
One day he kissed her,
Just as Clancy walked into the room,
Before you could say the time of day,
Clancy lowered the boom!

Chorus:
Oh, that Clancy, Oh that Clancy
Whenever they got his Irish up,
Clancy lowered the boom!

BTW...Clancy's MUD's middle name...and O'Leary shall become McAuliffe and O'Hallihan shall become Ol' Slick Willie...BWAHAHAHA!!

Regarding the two Firesign Theater CD's that I have just finished enjoying for the second time through. And you have to listen to the bits over and over to fully appreciate the humor. But I owe you a review.

"In short, delicious and biting satire and outroariously funny. And so politically incorrect as I listen nearly 40 years after they were recorded."

As I told you offline, the deep recesses of my memory have been unlocked. I have heard a number of these bits some lifetime ago. Now I remember where I heard the name Nick Danger.

These guys have really stood the test of time. Their humor is as irreverent today as it was in the 60's/70's, but from a different grownup perspective. Thank you so much for sharing them with me.

Glad you enjoyed 'em.
I knew you'd heard at least bits & pieces of 'em, before.
Just lost in the 30 years of time since they'd been produced, is all.

Interestingly enough?
Over time you're going to hear (derive) more & more from their satire; which, is really quite timeless?
But as is usually the case one must listen carefully, as well as, listen at the right time.

Remember what I said about the elusive cutoff age of those who'd have any appreciation for the things, too.
Means yankhater will be completely lost; just as our good friend, Mudboy Slim undoubtably found himself as he listened to his copy?

...unless you're there with him to do a lot of translating.

HA!!
You certainly are slippery, Son.

"Dude, I'm parched...reckon I'll mix me a toddy..."

Wished I could join ya; yes, I really do.

But in 5 & one-half hours I'll be testing for my next belt before a panel of 6 3rd Degree Black Belts.
Master B (Grand Poobah) would be just livid if I showed up with the scent of booze detectable on my breath.
This person's a 6th Degree Black Belt who really doesn't have [much of] a sense of *humor*.

*Not* exactly someone I'd freely choose to mess with, y'know?

But you enjoy!

...I find you (seem to) make more sense after a few stiff belts, anyway. {g}

There will be no judges in the ring, just MUD and Whore-aldo and there will be no clock, no rounds, no leaving the ring (actually, we'll just make it a CageMatch), and the Winner will be declared when the LOSER is forced to say, "Mudboy, you are the better man!!"

"Whore-aldo's...and he claims to be a black belt, too."

Yea-yea.
I'm sorry, but Whore-aldo's credibility is subzero in my book.
He claimed to have been an amatuer boxer once, too.
Although he sports a bent shnozolla?
I'd bet the closest he ever got to the canvas of a ring was by paying for a ticket.

His nose was broken sometime in his past, alright; but, when he did one of three things:
1) Ran into a door.
2) Opened his big mouth & someone shut it for 'em.
~or
3) When he was caught dorking some poor SOB's wife.

Certainly not by any act of bravado on his part.

"One Million Dollars...Celebrity Rasslin' at MadisonSquareGarden and I'll guarantee a SRO Crowd!!"

Well Mud?
You know damned well what I've told you about your bettin' habit, don'tcha?
Geshhhhh.

OK.
If you insist, you're gonna be needing a manager.
Hell's bells the *Judge's* job won't pay nearly as well.

Even so, here.
I'll tell it to ya, anyway:

"Mudboy, you are the better man!!"

There.
Merry Xmas. ;^)

Sayyyy you been gettin' an awful lot of gifts lately.

...is this another *scam* comin' from the Virginny Ham?? :o)

Well, you just keep thinking that way.

"BTW...my brother-in-law just happens to be a 3rd-degree black belt and a lawyer to boot..."

An impressive rank; although, you don't say in what form he practices.
In any event, it's obvious to me he's been at it -- religiously -- for many years, Mud.
BBs of any discipline are -- to my knowledge -- not just, "given away."
One must work very hard to attain one & degrees are even harder yet, to earn.

...I'd think the man is teaching, huh?

"you don't say in what form he practices."

LOL...I knew you were gonna ask me that and I'm not really sure. I think it's some sorta Jujitsu or something. It's a defensive form, and he gets special grades for passing using a 6'long stick for defense, and for using numchucks, and I specifically remember these batons that look like a "T", but one end is longer than the other and you hold onto the legs of two of them and swing them around to whack the other dude in the head or crotch or wherever.

Mark usedta be quite the wildman as a young'un, but he readily admits his martial arts training got his life focused again as he definitely wasn't pre-law before the martial arts training became such a major part of his life.

FReegards...MUD

BTW..."I'd think the man is teaching, huh?"

Not really, although when you get to the point he is, yer sorta like a Teacher'sAssistant for those less far along than yourself. He does compete, though...I've gotta bring the kids to see UncleMark perform someday!!
