At a time when bullying and teasing in schools is a growing concern for educators and parents, a new study finds that students who are gay or thought to be gay are most likely to be targets -- even more than children who are overweight or have disabilities.

You would expect a girl to say this. What a weenie! Oh come on. Kids these days aren't taught to defend themselves. (Which is wrong). Bullies are @ssholes. When I was in school, I was picked on mercilessly until I beat the crap out of someone.

Every gay person I know says they've always known their attraction to the same sex.

I know gay people who are still struggling with it. Gays tend to hate bi-sexuals because it shows that there is some choice. Rock Hudson for instance was a big womanizer as a youth, only to have a gay experience later in life that he really liked. There are thousands of strange fetishes that can only be learned and positively reenforced through practiced. Many gay people have been raped or had sexual encounters at a very young age. Young Men can get horny very easily and have sex with anything. This lable of gay is a powerful recruitment tool. There are genetic influences, but there are also stronger influences on behavior from the environment and personal choice. To say that gay behavior is completely genetic flies in the face of all reason.

Concering "violence" against "gay or perceived gay" kids in school -
1. Kids in middle and high school would NEVER be thinking that they are "gay" unless the educators and media pimps weren't telling them that they were and enticing them with soft-porn pro-homo TV shows and movies as well as sex-ed and sensitivity c**p in schools.
2. Public schools are often vicious places anyway and parents who care about their kids should do everything they can to get them out. The pro-"gay" agenda is the cherry on the cake reason to get kids out of public shcools. This is a huge topic in itself. I home taught my kids starting 25 yrs ago when it was mostly illegal becuase I hated school as a kid. I was unmercifully taunted etc for years and NOT becuase of being "gay"!!!

Wow I thought only girls used the phrase 'what a weenie'.

No offense... But calling fellow "boys" in high school isnt exactly manly, Using the term "guys" is more appropriate. Like "Those guys are gonna kick your a$$". I have a feeling this guy is infeminite. Just a hunch...not justifying the bullies at all but to say he was just sitting there and they all cracked on him without acknowledging the he himself talks, acts or looks like a girl?

Whatever its causes, a good case can be made that a person's sexual orientation is determined earlier rather than later.

And an even better case can be made that once the underlying trauma is dealt with the 'homosexual' can return to a normal healthy life.

Homosexuality is a curable disease

I was surprised too. It's in his book Bringing up Boys.

One thing I know from personal observation is that it isn't always early orientation that makes someone decide to be gay. Sometimes it is more of a social issue. Everyone wants to belong and have a place where they're accepted. Or sometimes it's about issues with the opposite sex. They choose one because they hate the other. Etc...

There are genetic influences,

I disagree. No genetic link has ever been shown in a repeatable study. All the studies that did hint at a genetic link (to the best of my knowledge) have been disproved.

In any event, even if there was a link it would make the disease of homosexuality the same as the disease of alcoholism. We don't ask alcoholics to celebrate their disease by going out and drinking.

Nope. If that were the case "gay" would have been used as a sobriquet in my day

Since sobriquet means "a fanciful or humorous appellation", I would submit that that is exactly what its mainstream use is as illustrated in the above article; now, "a salubrious sobriquet" would predate both the current use and the bastardized, overworked intent of the queer battalion.

We have a winner. We can stop the thread now, John O has hit the nail squarely on the head.

The homosexual perversion is a completely curable mental affliction. See this thread for more information.

Children pick up from the general culture that homosexuality is something weird, different or bad, many say.

It certainly has health hazards!

It certainly is weird!

It certainly is different!

That's right. The Gay Gene, Going, Going... Gone

I've misplaced my other link on this issue.
