I don't know what and where we are bombing or how long ago but it's certainly in the Mid-East region and they're the shit bombed out of them. Warning: kinda graphic.

The Air Force would like a heavy-lift bomber. They allowed the manned bomber force to run down because they lost faith that it could penetrate Soviet air space. The Gulf and Afghan wars demonstrated the usefulness of heavy bombers as a psychological weapon, as well as an attack weapon. In the Gulf, merely leafletting Iraqi units with an announcement they would be bombed tomorrow by B-52s was good for 25-50% attrition. As an enemy soldier, it's one thing to watch a 100-2,000-lb. precision weapon take out a single radar, SAM, tank, or hard point. It's quite another to experience carpet bombing by a million pounds of HE. The impact on units not exposed directly is even greater. Realizing that the former warrior one knew is now a weeping, whimpering, incontinent mental wreck due to such a bombing is a walking advertisement for desertion.
Since a new heavy bomber would no longer be required to penetrate an integrated enemy air defense, the cost could be reduced accordingly.

The non-Islamists are waging a war of extermination against everyone opposed to the institution of Islamic law.
We've gotten to harden our hearts. William Tecumseh Sherman, George Patton, and Curtis LeMay would have known what to do.

Not to forget Gen. John J. Pershing.

"Someone mentions " a KFOR tunnel entrance" I think ..."I heard this as "cave or tunnel entrance".

NLRC proposed a similar aircraft as an airliner, this was an 800 pax airline with about the same GW as a 747-400. I think it is fair to extrapolate a >140K lb munitions load, that is not including weapons systems. It would also make a good gunship, tanker, maritime patrol, AWACs, transport, ect. It offers the military great efficeincy and airframe commonality for a variety of missions.
It also has the look of death on wings.

That would with mission fuel for a 7000 mile road trip.

I love it.

I didn't realize the guy was yelling, "Gun ready!!" I couldn't quite catch it. Glad it was something professional after all. At first I thought it was some excitable youngster yelling "gol dang!" after each cool explosion.

"Son of Spectre" is due out soon, deploying a COIL laser. It'll be just like burning ants with a magnifying glass, just on a grander scale. Ok, who besides me can't help thinking of the laser in the film "Real Genius" at this point?
Also, your video link no longer works, do you have another link for it?

Got to revisit this thread to comment. I've got to agree wholeheartedly with the above. On 9/12/2001, I sent a rant to around 20 friends, who became my War on Radical Islam mailing list. I send a lot of items from FR.
That rant featured a quote from W.T. Sherman:
"We cannot change the hearts of those people, but we can make war so terrible...[and] make them so sick of war that generations would pass away before they would again appeal to it."
I then proceeded with this, on my own, all of which holds up rather well, 15 months later:
Any person, group, or nation that has harbored or funded anti-American terrorists is an accessory. Any nation or peoples (i.e. the Pallies) that expresses glee in the aftermath is an accessory-after-the-fact. I am not interested in "criminal court of law, beyond a reasonable doubt" proof. If there is a preponderance of evidence to our national command structure, surgical retaliation against appropriate targets (national leadership, military/terrorist sites, national infrastructure, anything else deemed necessary) should be forthcoming, sooner rather than later. In this case, "surgical retaliation" is defined as anything up to and including a 475kt warhead.
I'm glad to see us doing some of this; we need more.

Is that the one that Boeing-McDonnell-Douglas is proposing to cruise worldwide over the oceans in ground effect for greatly extended range?
