Tell us how crowded/not crowded it was when you went to vote!

Did you see voter fraud and what is the talk about exit polling and the possible outcome?

So they expect New Orleans turnout to swell later in the day. Well of course they do. By then they'll have a good idea of how many votes they need to buy and steal to win this election.

I was at a polling place in St Tammany Parish today as a poll watcher. When I left about 1:30 pm about 1/3 of the heavily Republican precinct had voted.

Registered Republicans were outvoting registered democrats by at least 6% when measured against their total registered voters in the precinct. Around 35% of registered Republicans had voted and around 29% of registered democrats. About 16% of registered independents had voted.

Poll watchers from other precincts in the area seemed to be reporting similar results.

I have the sense that Republicans are more motivated than democrats, but it would be premature for me to jump to conclusions about the race.

Just to clear things up, CNN is not reporting any numbers. Someone posted results from the Nov. election that are still available on the CNN website.

"Cajun" humorist Justin Wilson (who describes himself as part-Cajun) was born in Roseland in Tangipahoa Parish, near the Mississippi border. He lived his last years in Summit, MS.

Justin Wilson was a staunch conservative. He was one of the most patriotic men that I have ever heard speak.

Justin was born in Texas. LOL

well I guess I didn't drink enough to get that out of him, or maybe a bit too much to remember, because I did not know that. If he wasn't cajun, and just played one on TV, he sure as hell fooled me....LOLOL

My mom's people are from the Roseland-Arcola-Amite Metroplex. Beautiful country. We just called it "the country".

I'm just about there myself... I haven't turned the channel from FNC even though they've been spending most of their airtime with Iraq...

I usually enjoy my weekends off but I wish it was Sunday already and that we knew ...

About the committee margin in the senate if Terrell wins: we'll have a 52-47-1 edge, but would likely only have 2-seat majorities on some committees and 1-seat majorities on others.

You, sir, are a true patriot. Please keep up the good work!

Please shut up! If you tell people I'm doing the right thing, I may be removed from the Curmudgeon's Union! ;-)

The lower bound of the 99% confidence interval has been drifting upward all day; last night it was 49.9%.

What this means is that there was then a 99% chance that the Terrell percentage of the 2pv will be at or above 49.9%.

The good news is that as we speak this is at 52.25%: --there is less than a 1% chance that Terrell will have fewer than 52.25% of the 2pv.

As I had posted yesterday, this race is being more closely watched for fraud than any in La. history, including by national Republican and FBI representatives.

I don't think the Dems will be able to bring in more than some 7500 completely fraudulent [that is, dead or other nonexistent or truly non-registered voters] votes, and that is not going to be enough, for we expect total turnout today to be some 1.5 million, so the fraudulent votes would be only one-half of 1%, not enough to cancel the Terrell lead...

He wasn't really Cajun. He was plain ol' country. But you don't live in Louisiana your whole life without you learn a thing or two about Cajun and Creole cookin'. Justin's style was more Creole and Country than Cajun if you ask me.

Justin Wilson was a staunch conservative.

THAT WAS A FACT, without a doubt. If you have ever heard him speak out of the glare of the camera, he let you know where he stood, unambiguously on any issue...LOL

Hope it stays that way in NO. I think that Terrell could easily be in the range Crystalk is talking about. Registar of Voters Kellar was talking about a turnout of 55% or so earlier this week based upon absentee votes. I was surprised as the Primary turnout was 42.9%... and this would have meant a huge increase in voter participation....
