OK...we've been reading a lot of opinion about the borders and we've been responding to a lot of polls at other sources. So, let's see how we stand at FR. Answer yes or no for each question A,B,C,D. At the end, write no more than two sentences which summarize your opinion about this issue.
A. The borders of the US should be carefully monitored to eliminate illegal entry into the country as much as possible.
B. Those who are here illegally should be sent home.
C. Legal entry into the country should be severely curtailed, or eliminated.
D. None of the above. We should support our elected officials policies and goals with regard to the borders.
Respond like this:
A. Yes or No
B. Yes or No
C. Yes or No
D. Yes or No
My opinion about this issue is: (two sentence maximum answer)
Have your friends freep our unscientific poll if you want, since we'll know if anyone posts twice.
B. Yes
C. Yes
D. No
I know, have seen or heard of hispanics who intend to take back parts of the southwest - they consider it theirs.
Funny you should mention that...according to an article in the latest 'American Sentinel', left-wing groups like the National Immigration Forum, American Immigration Lawyer's Association, William Kuntsler's Center for Constitutional Rights, and our old pal, leftist billionaire George Soros, are working to DELIBERATELY flood our country with illegals to attain several Marxist goals. Those goals are:
A. Make Americans feel vulnerable from within.
B. Expand the power of the 'State' in response to each attack on our 'homeland'.
C. Create a 'Balkanized' U.S. with a diminishing common culture; so that leftist politicians can thrive by pitting factions of our society against each other. Think about it...Democrats and liberal Republicans do this ALL THE TIME. If you're still buying that nonsense about "illegals doing the jobs Americans won't do", George Soros and his communist allies thank you from the bottom of their black hearts.
By the way; 'Yes' on A through C. G-d bless what's left of the Republic.
I think the INS should investigate those who advertise offers of employment to illegals, in foreign publications and on the web. I think the Mexican Consulates are ignoring our Immigration laws by issuing Matricular ID's with no objections from State, County and Federal Governments.
Do we really need more Socialists?

I believe we should continue legal immigration the way other countries, such as Switzerland do: accept only people who are proven to be able to take care of themselves, like those with tech degrees, etc., and those people who already have a job or a supporting family in the US.
I think we should put a temporary moratorium on "Give us your tired, your poor" until we have assimilated everyone already here pretty well.
With NAFTA fully enacted, it's impossible to have a safe border. Bush has the power to roll back NAFTA by invoking a national crisis. He failed to do so when the time to do so was ideal. I think he's a good president. But he will never be a great president if he fails to make our borders safe.
Do we really need more Socialists?
We want the ones with the desire and gumption to leave that behind in the dust- European or not.

B. Yes!
C. Yes (conditionally).
D. No!
I think C is poorly worded. It should be two questions instead of one.
Legal immigration should be curtailed but not completely eliminated. We need to go back to the previous (pre-Teddy Kennedy) rules for strict vetting of immigrants. We should cut off all Muslims from entry except in the most unusual circumstances. We also need to strongly curtail most of the green-carders and make tracking of these and visa-holders foolproof. H-1B visas should be the infrequent exception, not the rule.
Our entire immigration system is out-of-control. We need a moratorium on most entry until we fire and replace the incompetents in the INS (an immense undertaking) and get the system running properly. This will also require new laws passed and old ones eliminated.
