The Doughboys
America And The First World War
2000 Gary Mead

One of the things it states is:
“ Many Doughboys found Germany to be more pleasant than they expected- and to be far more welcoming than the French.”
As one Private stated who was part of AF in G “ We was fighting on the wrong side.”
One of the figure stated was the VD incidences were higher With the AF in G than the ones in France.
More said in the book about this.- More that I want to type
