Shoulder-Fired Missiles, Al-Queda, and TWA 800 Link?

Let's see -- shoulder-fired missiles attempt to take down a commercial airliner. Yes, it's in Kenya, but the target is 1/2 of the "axis of evil", as Al-Qaeda sees it. The other half, as we now know, is the US, and its epicenter is NYC, NY, home of the World Trade Center and -- JFK Airport.
Of course we were in a war with Al-Qaeda at the time that TWA 800 was shot down, just as we are in a war now, but the dems did everything they could to avert our eyes. And for most of us, we did. Should we take another look?
It's been suggested by experts that the Kenya missiles missed the target because they were too close to the target to allow the targeting systems operate at maximum lethality. How does the altitude of TWA 800 at explosion time measure up against these missile system's optimum capabilities and standards?
What signature evidence would such a missile system leave if successful?
Were these missile systems in Al-Qaeda's hands at that time?
An inquiring mind would like to know.

I do believe TWA 800 was the first such attack on NY of terror, we knew of reports of a missile taking it down, possibly even our own. Will we ever know?

Flight level 135 seems awfully high for a shoulder-fired missle, but I still suspect Islamism until demonstrated otherwise...which it hasn't been.

I seem to recall credible accounts of a missile, i also remember they covered it up. are there archives available to browse? It will be interesting to see if mr kissinger and his panel come up with any info...( doubt it ).

Sometime down the line it will be revealed that Value Jet was a terror act also, I bet.

"I absolutely believe that 800 was hit by a missle."
I don't know how anyone could doubt that TWA800 was hit by a missle. Look at the lame "evidence" contradicting the claim vs the strong evidence to prove it to be true. James Kalstrom ought to be prosecuted for the pitiful cover-up he lead. Of course, the Clinton administration dictated the orders. IMO, Kalstrom should be tortured like the Al Queda until he admits who gave him the orders to lie and protect the Clintons and the terrorists. Then, we go up the food chain...

The equipment being reported on today has a 3 mile range. I'm no expert but 3 miles = 15,000 feet. I guess that remains constant for verticle flight as well doesn't it? Need expert advice on shoulder fired missile capabilities!

. Of course, the Clinton administration dictated the orders.I agree 110%! Clinton didn't want his legacy tarnished with anything....he didn't have the *alls to start a 'real' war with Osama. He wanted the peace prize...that cowardly scum gutter lowlife.

Will we ever know? Yes, we know. 130 witnesses saw the missile. Who are you going to believe, a Clinton appointee, or 130 lying eyewitnesses?

A goodie, another TWA 800 thread. We can all repeat the same comments we provided on the previous 500 or so similar threads.

I absolutely believe that 800 was hit by a missle. Yep...me too. I remember watching the news coverage that night and they interviewed 3 or 4 people who were very adamnant and explicit about seeing a light arch up from the water and hit the plane. Of course the FBI now says that what they actually saw was debris falling down after the plane exploded.
Who you gonna believe, the FBi or your own lying eyes??

Value Jet was clearly negligence, on the part of the airline, AND those who shipped flammable cannisters (which they basically admitted to by going out of business.)

I do believe TWA 800 was the first such attack on NY of terror, we knew of reports of a missile taking it down, possibly even our own. Will we ever know? I think this is the first thread which actually discusses TWA800 in the light of the Kenya attack.
I believe it confirms what I have said on an old thread (TWA 800 "It wasn't terrorists. It couldn't have been." ) which is that terrorists with a shoulder fired missile (or two) would position themselves much closer to the takeoff point than the Hamptons in the case of a JFK departure. The Kenya attack demonstrates that it must not be as easy to shoot down a plane even at low altitude, as some would have us believe it would have been to shoot down TWA800 at an altitude beyond the range of the missile's normal capabilities.

I agree. I believe that Flight 800 was practice for shooting down Air Force 1. This is why the President didn't immediately return to DC on 9/11.
If you remember there was a credible threat to AF1 on 9/11, but we never heard what it was, and were later told it was a mistake.

I lived on the North Fork of Long Island at the time, the Firemen were having their annual carival next door and when the word came they all disapeared like a shot....it became common knowledge in our part of the world, within a very short time and before the "Federalies" came in, that a shoulder launch missile took down the flight....it was all over the local news......
we don't need no lying hillbilly feds to tell us what happened
