When he begins by calling me a smear artist, he forfeits any right to courtesy from me.I know what he is referring to and since he lacks the guts to say it outright, he makes bold assertions that anyone would object to if they were directed at them.I won't take such crap and have asked him to take it up with JimRob if he wishes to pursue it further.Since nothing I have said can be called a smear, he is bloviating like he tends to do, and i will call him a clown any such time he persists in this idiotic manner.

Let's talk about the drug business. We all know about the Dateline NBC story so commonly sited with the line "negatif negatif negatif".

Transcript from the show says this:

Heidi quickly dismisses this as nothing – a small dispute 
from a long time ago.  She also dismisses the Monaco 
prosecutor’s allegations that Ted was mentally unstable, 
or on drugs.  She says he never used drugs and showed us 
his toxicology report from the hospital indicating none 
were found in Ted’s system.

Hmmm..they used the wife as the source for the toxicology report.

However, in court documents, in June of this year, one and a half years later, this was submitted:

It was a statement Ted Maher made. In his words, he claimed he was taking Clorazil.

• Did they even look for Clorizil?
• When was the tox report taken?
• Ted has admitted in court to taking alot of Lidocane. Why wasn't that mentioned in the report?

That evening, he may of very well not been taking the Clorizil. So it would not of shown up. The abscense of it that night does not outrule his use of it.

And if it is so revealing, why isn't the toxicology report posted on TedMaher.com to support their case, since they are the ones that supplied it to the press?

This evidence was not disputed by the defense. Even with the supposed DatelineNBC 'evidence'. Why?

I understand Ted saved someone's life in prison. I understand he has not been a bad prisoner.

It may be too early for him to get parole, but it is defintely possible.

I doubt if he will go to some creepy French jail. If I were a jailer, I would want to keep someone like him arounad. Espeially if he has already proven his usefulness.

I see parole as a distinct possibility. Being able to leave the country is a whole other matter.

This whole Ted Maher story was so amazing in its ability to suck so many normally skeptical people into a "tin-foil" vortex of denial in the face of facts that it's embarrassing. A whole lot of freepers who bumped the "Free Ted Maher" thread(s) are freepers who usually know better.

I've been watching all of this.
Amazing that so many believe in a "justice" system that drugs someone
for nearly 3 years and then "gets a conviction."
A "justice" system that takes 3 years to put someone on trial for an air tight case.
Glad the ones who believe in a "kangaroo court" don't serve on juries in the US.
They'd never pass the minimum requirements to judge their peers.
Next we'll hear how fair French and British trials are. LOL

It seemed to me that half the "freepers" who showed up on the 'Free Ted' threads only showed up on 'Free Ted' threads. I do admit however, that Mrs. Maher was polite, even when she was flaming me.

I don't think Ted's supporters and family were mean or duplicitous in any way. I think they really wanted to help a guy they cared about, and I guess I can't blame them for doing whatever they could. They must be extremely disillusioned at this point. However, I still am embarrassed that so many normally skeptical freepers got sucked into this Mumia-like frenzy. (No, I am not comparing Ted to Mumia - - just the "tin-foil conspiracy" nature of their defenders.)

Huh? It was stated that Maher looked bad in photos. I pointed out that he looked fine to me, and I was shown one that he looked poor in, so I acknowledged that.

The problem is not that anyone thinks a kangaroo court is ok, is that we don't believe that he was drugged for three years. Just look at this thread. Getting info out of Maher supporters is like pulling teeth.

Read BKauthor's posts. He claims to have all this info about all these reporters who apparently know he is innocent. This is where FR rises to the top. We could FReep the hell out of them and get them to speak out. But BKauthor won't give their names. Nobody will back up any of their claims. In other words, there is an air of BS about the whole thing.

Given the track record of FR cause celebres like the Christines, it is not surprising that we are sceptical.

If BKauthor has all this info, why won't he tell us?

How do you know that he was drugged for three years? Did he tell his family? How does that fit in with all the claims that he has not been allowed to talk to his family?
