"I still am embarrassed that so many normally skeptical freepers got sucked into this"

I'm embarrassed that so many FReepers believe in a kangaroo court.
Drug someone for 3 years then "get a conviction."
Monaco "justice" is like a Saddam Hussein election.
Only one outcome is allowed.

The problem is not that anyone thinks a kangaroo court is ok, is that we don't believe that he was drugged for three years. Just look at this thread. Getting info out of Maher supporters is like pulling teeth.

Read BKauthor's posts. He claims to have all this info about all these reporters who apparently know he is innocent. This is where FR rises to the top. We could FReep the hell out of them and get them to speak out. But BKauthor won't give their names. Nobody will back up any of their claims. In other words, there is an air of BS about the whole thing.

Given the track record of FR cause celebres like the Christines, it is not surprising that we are sceptical.

If BKauthor has all this info, why won't he tell us?

How do you know that he was drugged for three years? Did he tell his family? How does that fit in with all the claims that he has not been allowed to talk to his family?

The fact that Maher freely admitted in open court that he did it pretty much sealed it for me. Besides, if the Monagasque authorities really wanted to keep him quiet, why did they levy only a 10-year sentence (with the possibility of parole in an incredible 3 months)? Wouldn't a true "kangaroo" court have sentenced him to a term so long that they would have had to pipe in sunshine into his cell on alternate Thursdays?

If Monaco = Iraq when it comes to justice systems, they've got a heck of a long way to go to treat prisoners as badly as Saddam does.
