On the eve of Thanksging we paused to remember those who are overseas.
Many of our service men and women will be spending their 1st Thanksgiving
away from home, family and friends.
Today military stationed in the continental United States will be celebrating Thanksgiving.
It is because of their devotion to duty, honor and country
that we will be able to celebrate Thanksgiving.

I love them. And in their pilgrim outfits, maybe they will get past the rest of the holidays for the year.

Yes! I did leave some things out!
We have artichoke hearts in a light vinagrette, we have palm hearts. We have shrimp cocktail and red sauce. We have some soft candy mints. We have small pieces (but plenty!) of several different kinds of fudge.

Wow, Tex, looks like you thought of everything. When are we leaving Girlz? How does 7pm Calif, 9pm Texas, and 10pm New York time sound for leaving? Earlier or later? Is one of the Guys gonna drive, or do we drive ourselves, which usually proves to be pretty funny? What say you?
To: bentfeather
OH Feather! I love both of them!!! Let's think it thru....which statement are you wanting to make? The blue one is so demur and elegant and understated! The black and white one is elegant, but in the southern belle tradition! If it were I, I would choose the one I didnt need a girdle!! Like my mom used to say..."I'm wearing my stand-up girdle and my sit-down shoes!"

LOL! What about me? I was born in the South! Raised abroad for a few years and then raised exclusively in the North. I'm a SouthernOverseasYankee! Is that better? LOL!

Thanks, Kathy, I think we will be able to piece together a good meal!
9:00 Oklahoma time sounds good!
As far as driver is concerned...I thought Tonk provided one with the limo! He was very gracious to help me load the buffet with the goodies!

".....Nothing So Bad"
There's nothing so bad That it could not be worse; There's little that time May not mend, And troubles, no matter How thickly they come, Most surely will come To an end.
You've stumbled,.... well, So have we all in our time. Don't dwell over much on regret, For you're sorry, God knows.... Well, leave it at that--- Let past things be past, And forget.
Don't despond, don't give up, but just be yourself-- The self that is highest and best. Just live every day in a sensible way, And then leave to God all the rest.

Thank you, MtHLancerFan, for stopping in to help honor our troops.
To: bentfeather
That is absolutely up for debate!! LOL! Your outfits are absolutely fantastic! Nothing like really making our troops happy before they go out and battle those damn terrorists again!!
To: Kathy in Alaska
Thank you, Ma for stopping in while you are under the oppressive regime that is Libby's household. Is that not a typical Liberal thing? Forced labor is wrong. Don't they have laws against that? Off to Las Vegas ASAP! LOL!

Well darlin' these are wonderful, I have visited the South and it is a charming place with good food!
To: coteblanche
Thank you my friend. It is great to see you! I know that you are busy with the Poetry Branch, but it's so wonderful to see you!! The kindness and generosity that you have shown to Canteeners and the troops is second to none!! God Bless you dear cote! You are a treasure to us all!!
My monitor seems to be malfunctioning as well. It's watering for some darn reason. Could it be the song? Thank you once again!! *HUGS*
