On the eve of Thanksging we paused to remember those who are overseas.
Many of our service men and women will be spending their 1st Thanksgiving
away from home, family and friends.
Today military stationed in the continental United States will be celebrating Thanksgiving.
It is because of their devotion to duty, honor and country
that we will be able to celebrate Thanksgiving.

Libby puts out all the Christmas stuff for the windows tomorrow and my job is to put them all up and get all the extension cords sorted out and plugged in. No Macy's parade. It was the Canteen or the parade. Priorities you know! No TV in here. My computer at home has a TV right close so I can do both at once. LOL!

Well I have a couple of knock out numbers hanging around here!! I am really going to have to spend money and get somemore outfits!
Of course, I have my cowgirl outfit that is really popular!!
That little number I like to wear when I fly!!!!

That's my situation! TV lives in the living room, and the puter lives in the dining room area!

It is really snazzy for flying, absolutely no doubt about that, but you may want to consider wearing something that you dont ever get to wear in usual circumstances. I love that cowgirl outfit, though, so if it is comfy as well as being elegant, well, go for it!

Well that skirt is a little too, too!! I have some very nice long numbers, probably better for this trip, don't want to blind the driver!!!!

Thanks for posting this coteblanche. One of the most profound experiences I've had was when I was asked to help man the first aid booth for the traveling wall in our area. Words fail. Such solemnity and healing seemed to eminate from it.

Thank you, Canada, for helping us honour and thank our troops and veterans and families and allies. The Statler Brothers are my all time favourite group, and have been forever.Thank you, cote, for sharing this song with the Canteen today. ((HUG))

Ok....I got some light finger foods! I have some little mini-pastry shells filled with different ingredients! Some are spinich soufle, some are crab divan, some are cheese soufle, some are lemon creme, some are banana pudding, some are chocolate pudding, some are pecan pie filling, and some are pumpkin pie filling. I have some bite sized pieces of filet mignon which are bacon wrapped. I have a veggie tray with several dips. I have a fruit tray with a couple different kinds of dip. I have little mini-pizzas with several different kinds of toppings. There is a soft ice cream dispenser in this limo that Tonk got us, so that is available as well. The limo also has a full bar containing elegant adult beverages and soft drinks and fruit juices. Have I left anything out?
