On the eve of Thanksging we paused to remember those who are overseas.
Many of our service men and women will be spending their 1st Thanksgiving
away from home, family and friends.
Today military stationed in the continental United States will be celebrating Thanksgiving.
It is because of their devotion to duty, honor and country
that we will be able to celebrate Thanksgiving.

Prayers going up for your stepson's son with pneumonia. May his doctors find the problem right away, and have the means to combat it right at hand. Prayers also for you and your stepson and the families involved.
And candles for Ted Maher and his family.
To: Kathy in Alaska
Hugs to you, Kathy. Thank you so much for being such a gracious and loving hostess. I forgot the music. (^;

"Yee-Haaaw! Ok, girls. Jump in. This is going to be FUN! (I pity the poor chauffeur (Tomkow6, is that YOU??) who has to drive around all day listening to us squeal and get silly!)"
Just logged on and saw our ride! WOWEEEEE!!! Is it too much trouble for yall to swing by the northern Oklahoma plain for me? I have goodies to replenish the stock!I'm wearing jeans and t-shirt right now, but I'm thinking I ought to put on my formal!...and all my best jewelry!
I'm getting caught up on the thread now, so will be making remarks from time to time as I play catchup.
While I"m waiting to see if the limo can come pick me up, I want to take this opportunity to send my love and gratitude to our men and women who are serving this day in the armed services. A simple "thank you" seems so inadequate, but please take it as heart felt and tangible.

"Hi I hope everyone is having a great Thanksgiving! I'm stuffed like a turkey! UGH!"
MoJO! Hope you are feeling better after having been under the weather last few days!
My Thanksgiving turned out wonderfully! My darlin had to go to work, so I spent the afternoon with his momma. We let Mr Furrs cook our turkey, and had just the right amount of everything! I even bought some extra turkey and dressing and gravy to take home so I can have leftovers the next day or two!
Darlin's mom had not ever seen the worldwide net, so I put her in front of the computer and showed her a little bit of it. One of the first places I took her was the FR Canteen thread from the other night when our honkin big car got hijacked to pluto! I then spent some time playing some music for her. Then after she went home, I called my own momma and had a lovely conversation with her. All of this is possible because of the service of our men and women in the armed forces.
