It's no secret. They don't like you and they will ban you whenever they catch you posting to their forums. Who cares? We ban them anytime they register here. It's a fact. Very few people here are interested in reading the DU style spin and regurgitated propaganda.
Those of you who want to rattle their cages are welcome to it, but please do not drag any of their garbage back to FR and please do not bother posting vanities about your experiences with them. It's not wanted here and will be deleted.

There are some pretty scary lines in there considering this site calls itself "Free Republic." It seems that bad ideas, poor analysis, and wasteful vanities are permitted here regularly. I don't see why the reposting of DU trash is any different.
It seems we play their game of being the false guarantors of free speech by banning and deleting. I would think we here at "Free Republic" are above that.

I'm with you. However, I will admit to a gloat-filled dip into the DU cesspool on 11/5/02.
I was a Democrat for 30+ years and a member of DU for over 2 years. I worked for various Democratic campaigns donated money ETC.
My first post on Free Republic was the follwing:
The night after the election I posted on DU to say what I thought went wrong with the election. I posted on DU that:
1. The Democratic Party needs to rid itself of the extremists (Communists)
2. That the Democrats need to re-establish ethics and honesty in their politics (Yes that means ...no more Oval Office BJ's)
3. Use a more common sense and a little less PC
4. Do NOT fight between ourselves.
5. Realize that we are not always right.
6. Enter into honest debate with those with differenting opinion.
For that I was promptly called a "Freeper" and banned from Democratic Underground though I have been there for over 2 years and have been a Democrat since 1969.
I feel that the Democratic Party has been highjacked by extremists and that if they feel that I am now a "Freeper" that I should come over here and see if I can enter into honest discord with the people over here. I promise not to use profanity or call people names and to debate with sincerity. Can I stay, or will I be banned from here too?
Heart broken by Democratic Underground
The Democrat party has been highjacked by extremists who worship Bill Clinton as their divine deity. In their eyes since he is their deity he can do no wrong because he does NOT answer to man's law. ANY dissent ANY wavering from the Bill Clinton religion on any of the Democratic web sites is met with swift and certain banishment.
There is NO discussion or questioning allowed. Remember that this is ALL they can do to dissenters for the moment. Should they ever be put in a position where more could be done, swift execution for that same dissent, how ever slight, would be the penalty. The Democratic Party has become the party of evil. Those of us who have fought to bring the party back from the extreme left have been met with viciousness and hatred as if we were the enemy when in fact we once were it's backbone.
Let it be known that the Democratic party in it's present form DOES NOT represent the beliefs morals nor ideology of those who were Democrats before the communists/socialists highjacked the party.
Old time Democrats only differ from conservatives on a few issues. What we old time Democrats do share with conservatives is our love of and commitment to a strong viable and free America.
Please do not view me and/or other like Democrats in the same light as those who hate America and work for it's downfall. We in fact wish to work with you to rid our party and our country of those who wish evil upon it.
You should know that I have been out here on Free Republic for a week now and I though I have said without hiding ANYTHING that I am a Democrat and an ex-DUer ... I have been met by nothing but warm friendship and have engaged in honest and enlightening discussion. I personally feel that I have found a new home with caring and open people who, as long as we do not resort to the disruptive BS that DU is known for ... have opened their web site home to we who may have differenting opinions.
They seem to feel ... as I .. that those different opinions are valued in our collective (please forgive the word) political education and are NOT squelched. I am sure that you too ... if you use good manners and use NO profanity and do NOT disrupt will be met with the same warm hospitality that these wonderful people have afforded me.
We actually have quite a few bona fide liberals posting here. And a horde of Libertarians, who are very left-wing on most social issues, and therefore raise the roof during a discussion of the War On Drugs.

This isn't a vanity about rattling cages at a left-wing site. It's one post about rattling left-wing cages on a site that is purportedly neutral.
The Guardian, although it's so left-wing that it may be farther to the left than the Washington Post, hosts a discussion board that claims to "encourage a wide range of views." So it's technically neutral ground.
One other Freeper (who shall remain nameless) has joined me in posting over there and knocking the left-wing Euro weenies' heads together. He posts over there prolifically under the screen name CenterRight.
There's a little group of about a dozen Freepers who have secretly gathered to lurk over there and watch CenterRight in action. It's like a Bruce Lee movie. We notify each other about a particularly entertaining brawl via Freepmail and e-mail.
Go to http://talk.guardian.co.uk and click on the blue word "International" on the left-hand side of the screen. You'll get a list of thread titles. On the right is a "Search Talk" feature that will allow you to look up our Freeper friend, CenterRight, as he kicks left-wing butt.
But since it's allegedly a non-partisan site, rather than a left-wing site like DU, I haven't violated Jim Robinson's ruling on this matter.
At least, I hope I haven't.
I use profanity, call people names and sometimes (what very few would call) "Debate" with insincerity...And have been doing so for over a year. I'm still here.
I think you'll make it if you do as you've said...This is the most "Fair" Message Board I've ever seen...Amazingly so.
