I bet you're dying to know what a fiddlehead tastes like, huh? Awful!! It's chewy, more acidic than spinach, and like the worst tasting Brussel sprout you've ever had.It is supposed to be Canada's national vegetable, yet I never see it for sale in the grocery stores ;-)

You sure did and I'm glad I had a headsup. I even had a chance to
beg,
plead, ask-yea that's it- ask for daily thread status on the main forum.
It could happen! Jim might be saying it'll be a cold day...

It always amazes me how the daily calendar seems to fit the Finest of the day so perfectly!
"Live with goals' certainly describes the many wonderful accomplishments of the Guild!
Your account rekindled memories of the 'early days' with the ladies of the Guild!

Grits are a southern food. Bleached ground corn. I fix them for Hubby when he wants them. I'm more into biscuits with blackberry jam or honey on then with REAL butter.

Such a nice graphic deserves a hug...

Now, you'd better come by and say hi from time to time at the Guild!
To: swheats
We appreciate the try. But it could be rather cold in that hot place before that happens. Such is life. :-)
To: GailA
Hello Gail. I suppose I'm so late again that there's hardly any point in commenting. My freeping time has been cut to zilch since hubby's heart attack. I spend all my time cooking, doing dishes, driving him places, helping my son at the studio and still doing all my regular pastoral work. Ugh...I still hate cooking. What a waste of good time.

BWB, this thread has been very informative. I have known about the Guild and visited there in lurk mode a few times. I never posted because I wasn't in on the "rules" and inside jokes. For a long time I spent all my extra freeping time at the USO Canteen. Then I moved over to this wonderful place. There aren't enough hours in the day to keep up with two threads. You girls are to be commended for the work you do for the troops. You actually "do" something instead of just talking about it. God bless you all.

"daisy's forte is the investigating and writing, and mine is the layout/presentation." All of you do a great job everyday. I don't always post, but I have always read. Thank you!

I've enjoyed reading this thread today. I think I lurked for quite a while, and I'm trying to remember when I came out of my Guild-lurking status.
I have some news that I can finally share with everyone. DH and I are expecting # 3 at the end of June. We were both a little shocked since we definitely weren't planning this one and my hormones have been screwed up for the past year. I finally had my first visit today, and my doctor confirmed the pregnancy and that everything looks great. I'm really stressed b/c we've suddenly grown out of our house and car; but I figured since God has blessed us with this unexpected "gift", maybe someway we'll figure out how to pay for everything.
I've been terribly sick with nausea, so I haven't been posting as much, but I still check in everyday to see what the Guilders are up to.
Just wanted to let all of you know. =)
To: Aggie Mama
Oh joy!! Another blessing from God. Don't worry about the $$$. God will take care of you one day at a time. We couldn't afford any children, but raised seven of them. I learned that God truly does provide our daily needs. Enjoy the miracle.
