Members of the USS DECATUR DDG 73 come here often to lurk.
In fact they "know" many of us in here.
So I thought it would be nice to "dock" their ship in the USO Canteen today.
There is a lot of info about the crew, the ship and pics on their site.
Just Click on any Pic to visit their site.

Here are the INFORMATION SYSTEMS TECHNICIANS
that connect the ship to the internet.

Col. Kelly Cook, pictured here as a captain, was shot down over North Vietnam in October of 1967. He is currently missing in action.

It always burns me every time I read about people in Israel especially children being blown up by these cowards! Why don't they pick somebody their own size? I agree with Mojo, they will not stop until all the Jews AND Christians have been eliminated. It's us or them.....I say let's help them meet their Allah and their 72 virgins

Hi, Kathy! Hope you had a good trip.
OK, so who will be the captain of our boat? I'm just here for the ride and the company.

Howdy, and thanks for asking. Dad will be having his second skin graft on his hand tomorrow. We saw the doctor today and they set it up right away. Hopefully, this will take care of the grafting process. After that, "mobility" rehab...
To: tomkow6; Mr_Magoo
Prayers answered, tom, thanks for letting us all know. God bless you good Mr_M, and prayers continue for your speedy recovery.

Hey guys! I had something pretty amazing happen on-line the other night and I wanted to share it with you.A few days ago I posted a picture of the Itchutucknee River. I wnet looking online for another picture of the beautiful Sun Moon Lake near Taichung, my old "hometown".
I came across a vanity web site, of a man who was in Taiwan in 1968. At the bottom of his page was a picture of some of the people he had struck up a friendship with while investigating a crash... and there was a picture of Dad. My Dad died in 1984, and due to the bitterness of my parents divorce, I have very few pictures of him, and none in uniform.
I feel as though I have received this amazing gift because my Dad served. He did something important with his life, and this record of him exists because it was important enough to be recorded and remembered...just like our military today.
So, my thanks go out to all of our troops, serving in far away places with strange sounding names. And to the people who take a casual picture of a fellow soldier...my deepest and most heartfelt thanks.
Jack Strange is the tallest one standing.
