NEW YORK (AP) -- Two women's groups and a media watchdog organization on Tuesday asked CBS not to air the Victoria's Secret fashion show, calling it a "soft-core porn infomercial."
CBS said it was moving ahead with the broadcast of supermodels in lingerie on Wednesday night.

But they just love shows about two underage girls who discover their lesbian identities and "make love" despite the disapproval of the rest of us nazis. And long tongue kisses between men is ok. But women can't be caught wearing less than a burkha if it is believed - YUK! - men are looking at them.

Only for the people who get off on Sears catalogs.

I absolutely refuse to watch it if it's soft core porn.
I'm holding out for the pay-per-view hard core version.

Worst thing about it is, Victoria's Secret has got nothing special since Frederique moved on. The others are pretenders.

Since when did NOW become concerned about the treatment of women outside of using the issue as a leverage to increase their political power? Ahhhh very wise grasshopper but you forget NOW likes publicity and donations much more than helping women.

Nah. If it was soft porn, there would be a cheesecake shot with a couple of hot chicks making out with each other. Drool!

LOL! I loved the photoshopped signs on the original PETA/Victorias Secret thread where it said 'Fur is for Armpits-Not for Wearing'

Soft porn my ass. There are TV shows that have more explicit sex scenes than the entire Victoria's Secret lingerie debut. That doesn't mean that the Victoria's Secret special isn't soft core porn. That means that some of the shows on TV are worse ....

All I am saying is that everyone knows about the catalog and half of men get it to. There is no reason to put it on television other than to sexually stimulate an audience. VS is the largest lingerie company in the world. It doesn't need a TV special to sell more items. They know that.
I like looking at scantly clad women as much as any guy, its just in bad taste and silly to put this on TV and claim its just about a "fashion show".

If you think your girlfriend finds that sexy, trust me she won't! :)
To: Destructor
My son, 8 years old, loves it. A real man.

Sounds like it's more up Hugh's alley to me;)

Telemundo baffles me sometimes, I don't know a lot of the language but it is achieving the required effect if they want me to sit and watch for awhile

This is the greatest! A show that gives us beautiful women while pissing off the NOW hags, along with the rest of the looney left! Doesn't get any better than this!

"Does it push the envelope? Sure. But everyone knows what the Victoria's Secret fashion show is," he said. Actually, the problem is that it does not push the envelope. Mass media is saturated with soft porn. This is safely following the trend in media ethics, not breaking any new ground.
To: MadIvan
If you can't do this, you're nothing but a pretender.

I agree with what you say. When my husband insists on letting the remote linger on such, he's lucky he's got a bed to sleep in that night. I just don't understand women who don't mind their husbands watching this stuff. It hurts me to the core.
