NEW YORK (AP) -- Two women's groups and a media watchdog organization on Tuesday asked CBS not to air the Victoria's Secret fashion show, calling it a "soft-core porn infomercial."
CBS said it was moving ahead with the broadcast of supermodels in lingerie on Wednesday night.

Soft porn my ass. There are TV shows that have more explicit sex scenes than the entire Victoria's Secret lingerie debut.

Anorexic half clothed plastic women is not good television. To heck with the moral issues (of which there are many), none of these women look good!!

Is it 9PM EST or 10?
Of course as the spokswomen said the Men's Auxillary will be reviewing 'the fashion programming with musical and comedy segments in between segments'

Although its really silly to call it "soft porn", its hard to disagree with this statement:
"What purpose does the special serve except to overly sexualize women and use this to bolster the networks' demographics for young men?" they asked in a joint letter to CBS President Leslie Moonves.

CBS is also saying that they won't have to blur out the 'sheer' naughty parts like last year when ABC found out that the fabric was a bit too sheer.

....segments in between segments'....Wow, segments between segments! Is that sort of like a pushup bra?

Young men and men in general like looking at beautiful women. OK, so its politically incorrect but I don't see anything sexist about it. Without such attraction, the human race's future wouldn't be assured.

...and have you seen the music vidoes on MTV?
To: FreeTally
I'm watching for the musical and comedy segments of course!
Seriously, I think a lot of married men can get gift ideas for the holidays from the show. If it is not airing in the family hour..I say go for it!

Oh your girlfriend or wife wears something more revealing to make sure she's the only "eye candy" you pay attention to! ;-)

Since when did NOW become concerned about the treatment of women outside of using the issue as a leverage to increase their political power?

"It's a one-hour fashion show mixed with musical performances and comedy segments...." He's probably referring to the PeTA protest. <|:)~

It's an excuse to see scantily clad women. Come now, do try and tell me that their primary interest is to get female viewers so Victoria's Secret can sell their wares - that'd be my laugh of the day.
Certainly, if I put it on my telly, I know a certain lady who wouldn't leave enough of me to provide a malnourished chihuahua for supper. ;)
And darling, if you're reading this - it's being broadcast in America not Britain.
Regards, Ivan

Ummm, apparently none of these folks have actually SEEN any porn, or they would quickly gain perspective.
The VSC show is a notch or two LESS suggestive than pretty much anything on Telemundo.
The catalog is well done, but my goodness they go to great lengths to doctor any actual exposure, real or imagined, so any issue of MAXIM looks like Hustler by comparison.
