May a very special guardian 'angel' watch over Nan's husband, and his uncle. May Nan's angels come together, to lift their health and wellness, and ease her concerns during this difficut time.

Miss Marple, there's no way any of us could have preyed any better than that. consider that one echoed by me before His throne.
Nan, Rambette and I will be praying for both of you, keep us updated.
Kayak, thanks for the thread. Tonk, thanks for the bump.

UPDATE:Thank you Kayak, for posting this prayer thread. I wish I had time to respond to each one of you. You can't possibly know how much it means to me to have your prayers, because I know how powerful they are. I told my husband that Freepers would be praying for him, so he would be o.k.
In a long nutshell: Jack spent Thursday night in ICU here in town. They are not equipped for heart surgery, but they stablized him and watched him. Yesterday the EMS took him to Ohio Univ. Hospital. They did a cath. right away. What they found is that this is his third heart attack. He is not a candidate for by-pass or balloon because the arteries that are clogged are too small. His heart is enlarged and weakened. What he suffered Thurs night was congestive heart failure. They will treat him with meds and a heart rehab program. He will have to carry the Nitro pills from now on. If he behaves himself he may live some more years. I seriously doubt he will behave though. He's a blazing type A and a former Marine. YOU tell him what he can't do.
We called his aunt from Columbus this morning and we could hear Uncle raising heck in the background because they were giving him a bath. "I don't need no d**m bath!" So I think he's probably going to be around for a while yet too.
So, once again, your prayers have brought miracles. I wish I could reach out and (((HUG))) each one of you. I felt pretty calm after the Lord provided the cop. I prayed all the way to the hospital, and felt that Jack was going to be alright. He was giving the staff at OSU Hospital a hard time when we left today. I've come home to get a night's sleep and a BATH. I plan to drive back up in the morning. Maybe I can bring him home Monday. God bless you all. Nan

OH NAN!!! I've been praying for you and Jack!! I told Eric and he was upset, and he's been praying for you too!
We will continue praying for a complete recovery and a LONG life!!
Tell Jack that I love him (he'll know what I mean by that, as a brother in Christ!), and that I want him to be up and bein' feisty the next time I get down there to see you!
Be well, my friend! Get some rest, and feel the PEACE that passes understanding, through Jesus Christ, our LORD!
Thanks, Kay, for the ping!! I've been waiting anxiously to hear!

ohio, I'm sorry I haven't contacted you sooner. It's been pretty crazy. I'll be sure to pass your message along to Jack. Thank you and thank Eric ((((hugs for Eric))) for the prayers. I have felt all these prayers. I knew I would need them since I was going to be very involved in getting him the proper treatment. He seems very impressed with OSU Hospital. When Roy,Kelly & I left this afternoon he was harrassing the staff, so I know he was better. It's going to be a real challenge to keep him from doing too much. I'm off to bed now. God bless you and all who are praying.

So glad the Lord has calmed your fears and is bringing the healing only He can give. Though many of us do not know you, we love you as a sister in Christ. May God's arms surround you and hold you up. He will give you everything you need. Take care.

Hi Folks (Nan's husband here) Thanks to the prayers of so many people like you, and the infinite mercy and grace of God, He has spared me once again. What you did is greatly appreciated and as I commented to Nancy, "The Lord wouldn't dare let me die with all the people who are praying for me..." Just think of the 'unanswered' prayers He would have had to contend with.
Update on Uncle John: (93 years old)Uncle is now home from the hospital (much to the delight of the hospital staff). They sent him home last Sunday. He misbehaved terribly while in the hospital and really gave them a hard time. His first expierience receiving an MRI left him with some feelings he had not experienced. He thought (called) it a casket. They left him in it for an hour(he claims) and finally removed him when he threatened to 'tear the thing apart'! He told them on several occasions, "I am going home, and you are not going to stop me!" They had an IV placed in his arm; an oxygen tube in his nose; and, when they installed a cathater,..that did the trick. They did not leave it in very long. A doctor walked by his door and Uncle told his wife, "You run and catch that man and tell him "I'm going home!" Of course, by the time she got to the hallway the doctor was out of sight so that gave him another excuse to complain. He told the staff, "I'm going home. I can't afford to stay in your damned expensive hotel..!" When the neurologist finally came to examine him, he told Aunt Kathleen, "At his age, I'm not going to try and do anything for him. I'll just let him go home.." (Success through perseverence.) Uncle is now at home. I talked with Aunt Kathleen this morning and he is doing pretty well. He won't use that damned walker. He moves it aside and goes for his cane. Uncle John is a 'classic'. He is a very basic man,.. very independent,.. and proud. He will be sorely missed when he does pass away, but when that happens, he will have done it HIS way. Thanks again, Jack.
