See Hillary yell at Nickles. But bring along your earplugs.

Hillary is trying to say her bill says one thing. Nickles says the extension for unemployment benefits is much longer.

I wish I had taped this. Hillary is trying to cover her mistakes or lies (depending on how you look at it).

On ms. clinton's best day she will NEVER get the best of Senator Nickles! Now that he is assuming the Chairman of the Budget Committee in January and won't be in the Republican Leadership, I would expect he will confront her even more!

...I wish I had taped this... You're probably aware of this, but just in case I thought I'd remind you that CSPAN replays a lot of stuff later - you might want to check the schedule.

Arg! Check out Hillary! See the real person!
Gads! I know that type of woman. No wonder Bill Clinton stays away from her.
Oh, now they are spending 10 million bucks in Wellstone's honor? What a farce!

On ms. clinton's best day she will NEVER get the best of Senator Nickles! He certainly seemed calm, clear and logical compared to Hillary.
I thought hillary's spiels would be a little different than her husband's spiels. She sounded just like WJC...only she was louder. She tried to drag in everything when she was cornered, no matter how immaterial it was to the questions being asked her.
Bill would have had problems following the rules of the Senate.
For some reason, I expected hillary to do better.

CSPAN replays a lot of stuff laterThank you for the reminder.
Hillary's display was quite revealing. I wonder if she is more upset about the Dems losing the Senate or about Nancy Pelosi's winning the limelight as "the most powerful elected woman in American History."

The biggest thrill was to hear Nickles explain to Hillary that
she doesn't get to decide whose turn it is to speak. It's obvious that Hillary has spent too much time in the past year as "Madame President" of the Senate.

Did that really happen? I mean, did he like specifically dress her down or something? It's a great mental picture.

Hillary has always been "the supreme ruler" in her own mind -- that's why she has already had quite a few "tiffs" (and even downright fights) with other Senators, (probably more than we know, I'd bet a lot has been kept out of the news) -- she doesn't know (accept??) her place as a Junior Senator and is constantly overstepping the traditional boundaries -- it's rather funny and a bit pathetic -- whenever I think of it, I get the picture that a fellow FReeper posted of Hillary on the Senate subway -- sitting all alone in her pants-suit with swollen feet

Bent willie stays away from crusty because of her breath. It must have something to do with wiping her mouth with toilet paper and rinsing her mouth with tidy bowl.

You expected Hillary to do better because the drumbeat of the media, that Hillary is the "smartest woman in America," has sunk into your brain. Hillary is neither the smartest woman in America nor the Democrat's best politician. Hillary is probably not even the smartest woman on Capitol Hill -- Jeanne Kirkpatrick wins that one by a long shot -- and isn't the smartest woman on the Eastern Seaboard -- Phyllis Schlafly is.
Hillary is a novice politician who is propped up by a compliant media.

Hillary is a novice politician who is propped up by a compliant media. Precisely correct. More to the point, this is the first time in her life that she's actually accountable for what she says. Sounds like Nickles was asking for an accounting, and she couldn't pony up.
One has to question whether she'll learn her lesson and take the time to learn her own positions, or whether she'll make up for her ignorance by getting face-time on TV.
She'll probably opt for the face time -- it's lots easier, and the electorate probably doesn't know the difference.

Did that really happen? It seemed so to me. He said it matter-of-factly.
I am anxious to see what the Congressional Record says was their real exchange. I hope I will remember to look it up and post it at the end of this thread when it goes online.

sitting all alone in her pants-suit with swollen feet I always thought those were simply extensions of her thunder thighs.
