Mitch Daniels has been saying this to congress for months. I've seen him on C-SPAN saying the IRS code should be scrapped.

Repeal the income tax. Its inimical to freedom and good government in America. There's no way no how the IRS can ever be "reformed" or the Income Tax made acceptable to Americans. Get rid of it.

If we could tax liberal stupidity we could pay off the national debt.

That would be the biggest move ever. Hopefully the numbers work. You would have to replace the $$$ from somewhere. That is great b/c it would tax people fairly, AND cut down govt.

Bush is considering a total re-write of the tax code and that SecTreas O'Neill is strongly pushing a national retail sales tax! If this happens Bush can forget retiring to Crawford he'll be President for life.

Bend over, here it comes again. A "national retail sales tax" is not constitutional, neither is a "flat tax." Neither is the fiat currency system that we currently "enjoy" which is the enabler of all of the social welfare programs and legions of bureaucrats ruining this country. People need to study history a little more. I'll crawl back under my bridge now.
