California Election results for governor

It appears to me that the GOP is consistently losing the statewide offices because of voting in three counties. Virtually the entire state went for Simon with the exception of Oakland, San Francisco, and Los Angeles counties.

Oregon is the same way. With the leftwind Watermelon Jihadist infested Portland area, the out and out commies in the Eugene Area and a few other left wing perverted cities like Ashland, those pockets of infected puss are able to elect terrible governors and other key rat office holders.

They have destroyed the Oregon economy and constantly have even local props that could destroy the farmers, ranchers, loggers and other hard working conservatives out of these liberal cess pool areas.

I'm heartbroken, but not surprised. It would've taken a miracle for Bill Simon to win against the Davis financial juggernaut, not to mention the disgusting lamestream media.

Having said that, Simon did a lot better than people anticipated. I'm already thinking about 2004 - anyone think he might have a chance against DiFi?

Isn't Hawaii prime Rat territory? I know they have a Republican governor now, but my impression was that she was a moderate at best.

I'm thinking seriously of moving to South Florida if the business venture I'm involved in works out. It's also more convenient to my other partners.

I love California, but warm water temperatures, great boating, much lower housing costs and no State Income Tax are pretty tempting inducements ...

It's going to be painful to California residents over the next 2-4 years, but it would have been painful under Simon as well. It's going to work out better for us in the long run.

I would certainly hope so. Unfortunately, the voters in this state are absolutely dense. The majority of these people cannot see beyond the tips of their noses. All they care about is what they can get in the manner of government benefits.

...What people fail to realize is There Is No Such Thing As A Free Lunch, and that the piper has to be paid--through higher taxation.

Yup,, my first thought was run Simon running for the Senate as soon as possible. By 2004, DiFi will be beatable but ya can;t pussyfoot around with her. Nail her early and often. She has billions behind her, But we have the grass-roots and we are on a roll. Let's see what happens after the dust clears.

The Cal GOP Party Leadership needs a bulldozer driven thru their 19th Hole. Let's take control back of the Party and the funds that should have been allocated in a more prudent manner. It would be nice if they would support candidates that win their own primary too!

To kobyashi and all the rest of those wishing for an implosion of the CAGOP... Is this good enough or do we have to do it again in 2006?

I am not unhappy about Simon's loss. As Governor, he would have presided over a fiscal trainwreck and a repeat of the power shortage fiasco of 2001. The Legislature would have given him no assistance, and he would have been the target of 100% of the blame from the liberal media. He would have been a one-term Governor.

By going 100% democrat in California there can be no shift of blame to the republicans and if things are relatively worse in California than in the rest of the country then the republican probably stands to profit (this is almost total back coverage).

But for California seen exclusively all this is the opposite of good news.
