Katherine Harris won the 13th Congressional District seat in the U.S. House of Representatives for Florida's southwest coast, defeating Democrat Jan Schneider by 55 percent to 45 percent - a double digit victory -

As Florida secretary of state in 2000, Harris was vilified by Democrats and likened to puppy-snatching cartoon villainess Cruella De Vil when she certified George W. Bush the winner over Al Gore

Her clothing and make-up were the butt of jokes on late-night television shows and criticized by numerous liberal print "journalists"

What a beautiful smile. See how her goodness exudes from inside to lighten up her whole being on the outside? We are proud of this woman. She followed the letter of the law in Florida and for that she was bashed but...WE all knew she was right didn't we? Now everyone else does too, including those who bashed her.
Now, she has been rewarded for her goodness and intellect. Good luck Ms. Harris and God bless you in Washington.

Thanks for the ping, kig! I did see Katherine The Great on Fox and Friends this AM. I heard that she was also on a telephone link to PMSNBC yesterday. I guess that some of the talking heads on TV finally remembered THE National Hero of just 2 years ago!

It will be just wonderful to FINALLY have a member of the U.S. Congress without a single track of yellow in the backbone!

My hope is that she doesn't compromise away all that she promised to do when she ran for election.
