Democrats are leading across the board in Maine....crap, crap, crap!!!

Don't believe the minority vote % in Florida. One of Florida's most prominent black newspaper, the Broward Times, endorsed Jeb.
John Lott ("More Guns, Less Crime") came to Fla. during the 2000 recounts and his analysis was that the largest number of ballots tossed were black Republicans in Dem. precincts. In other words, when you read that 90% of Fla.'s black voters voted McBride, there's a good chance it's because black Republicans had their votes tossed. Really. There were no McBride signs posted in a large minority-populated neighborhood in my town, today....and I received smiles and a few "hellos" walking through the area, carrying a "United We Stand" poster and wearing a Jeb sign pinned to my back. Stupid timing, but perhaps this was initiated by Pitt as a form of revenge. I'm not buying that spin about burying this story on election night, since it is getting wide discussion on the news channels. For Christ's sake, Diddle E.! Less than 3% of Americans watch cable news channels.
This was brilliant strategy on the part of Karl Rove.
Nobody cares who the SEC chairman is!

Do you have a link for Massachusetts numbers? I can't find any results on the Secretary of State's page.Right here.
Mitt Romney (R) is still up by eight points!!

"... Pitt resignation timing is interesting..." The 'Market ought to be pretty responsive to it tomorrow.
... Plus whatever tonight's results are, of course. NASDAQ and DJIA will be the first things I look at tomorrow morning.

On floriduhs ballot and passing!
Florida voters to decide if pregnant pigs should be free
By The Associated Press
(8/6/02 - TALLAHASSEE, Fla.)
A proposal to make caging pregnant pigs unconstitutional in Florida qualified for the November ballot after what was thought to be the nation's first such petition drive. Floridians for Humane Farms reached the required 488,722 certified signatures on Monday, according to the Division of Elections.
The amendment would phase out the use of 2-foot by 7-foot metal cages to confine sows during pregnancy, as well as tight tethers.
"It's no surprise that packing animals in small metal cages for months at a time leads to enormous suffering and emotional frustration," said Wayne Pacelle, a senior vice president of The Humane Society of the United States, which cosponsored the petition drive.
No state currently bans the technique, Pacelle said.
Florida is 30th in the nation in hog production, far behind leaders like Iowa, North Carolina and Minnesota, and only a few swine producers in the state are known to confine pregnant pigs in crates.
The petition drive was the first of its kind in the country, Pacelle said.

Election night 2000 was brutal.
It was like going to bed after you first got laid, then waking up with the clap.

"Fox just reporting with 87% in Jeb wins."87 percent?? Fast tally...ok...NOW I'll start celebrating Jeb and Harris's wins...
In Pennsylvania, Rendell has only a 3 point lead with only ONE PERCENT of the votes counted. Too early in the count to call.

I think the Pitt resignation is the best news that the CNN crew has had all night. Judy Woodruff seems to be very disappointed that Pitt situation did not seem to have negative impact on the elections for the GOP.
Boy, it really seems to pain the CNN crew to announce each GOP victory, esp. Woodruff and Zahn.
Carville and Begala look like they are at a wake!! LOL.
