No contest for Ted Stevens seat.

The big issue is how bad is Frank going to kick Fran's butt? After the Anchorage Daily Worker declared it a dead heat.

To bad my sociallist friends.

Ditto re: Slimebucket Bredesen. I lived in Nashville through a lot of the Reign of Taxes, and my retired (fixed income) parents still live in Davidson County (I moved to Sumner Co). Their property taxes went up some 62% during Pharoah Phil's reign, and my retired old maid aunt in the Sylvan Park area saw her taxes go up over 84%.

Tennesseans are going to come to regret this night.

That balderdash from DUh is so pathetic. They lost because the undecided voters broke for the GOP. It's only happend a thousand times before in various races throughout American history.

Too many miraculous comebacks by Repubs who were losing in the polls last week

Dear DUmmy,

What event happened between last week's poll taking and the vote of today....hmmmm...think hard.

The Wellstone Dem Rally? People have responded to the display of poor taste and have registered their disgust for your party at the ballot box.

And I love it...LOL!!!

New DU Gigglefest:

Wild, dark conspiracy theory that just occurred to me

What if we're facing a far, far darker enemy than we ever realized?

What if, once Bush took over the Exec branch, the Democratic leadership were each individually, personally threatened?

Like, some terrible Corleone-family moment when Daschle, Lieberman, Clinton, Gephardt, etc. were told, you MUST capitulate to our agenda? It's up to you how to sell it to your constituents, but if you don't....the personal consequences could be very bad? ("Look what happened to Cliff Baxter, Mrs. Clinton. Be sensible.")

And they each did it? Like Stephen King characters, scared out of their minds, grinning wildly for the cameras, overwhelmed with fear, unable to run for cover because of John Ashcroft?

Except Paul Wellstone?

I mean, I'm crazy, aren't I? I'm just in a bad mood, because of the elections tonight...I'm having a tinfoil hat moment, and I need to just go to sleep and calm down, right? That can't possibly be what happened...the U.S. Government can't be in the hands of a criminal cabal, who threaten the lives of lawmakers, with impunity, as happened in the Third Reich, can it?

Can it?

Reassure me, people...

Who wants to tell him he's right? *snicker*
