He did.

During Special Report, he said that both camps said Johnson's get out the vote efforts have been very strong.

Then during the Fox Report, he said it again, but added a line that he kind of tripped over where he said something like "And according to their camp, Thune looks good."

Similarly, during Special Report, he said both camps said Strickland had done much better with the early voting program and that it could be a long night for Allard. But during the Fox Report, in between saying that about the early voting program and about it possibly being a long night, he said "this one is a squeaker".

Local news (WXII) seems to be of the opinion that Dole will win based on the slant of their stories and their reiteration that she lead in the polls coming in.

Fox reporting that the Mondale camp doesn't expect results until tomorrow morning...at the earliest.

The Minnesota "supplemental" ballots, i.e. those for Senator, are just paper ballots that have to be hand counted, just as they did in 1790. It will take a while.

I got a recorded call from Jeb Bush and he said the race was close here in Florida. I don't believe him, he is going to run away with this thing. In the case of Forrester, I think it is wishful thinking. Unfortunately, that old goat Lautenberg is likely to win. I really want to be wrong on this, but New Jersey has their head on backwards.
