Well, we have come to the point where the rubber meets the road. We all have our opinions or gut feelings about what is going to happen in this election. Here is your chance to carve your opinions into stone, or at least, into FR's data base. Tomorrow, or whenever we find out the results, wouldn't it be nice to have the whole world know that you nailed it on the head?
I've picked ten races, just to make the post election math easier. Wanna play?
Hutchinson (R) - Pryor (D) Senate in Arkansas
Chambliss (R) - Cleland (D) Senate in Georgia
Coleman (R) - Mondale (D) Senate in Minnesota
Talent (R) - Carnahan (D) Senate in Missouri
Sununu (R) - Shaheen (D) Senate in New Hampshire
Dole (R) - Bowles(D) Senate in North Carolina
Thune (R) - Johnson (D) Senate in South Dakota
Simon (R) - Davis (D) Governor of California
Bush (R) - McBride (D) Governor of Florida
Ehrlich (R - Townsend (D) Governor of Maryland
OK..Ten races...how many will you get right?
No prizes in this FR contest except the bragging rights and a time/date stamp on your post url, to prove your prognostication prowess!

Pryor wins (had that tax thing come up sooner, I think Tim would be ahead).
Chambliss (McKinney machine sits this one out)
Coleman (no-class funeral kills Dems)
Talent (Dems get blown out)
Sununu (Smith sour-grapes get worse when he FAILS to knock off the guy who beat him)
Dole (not even close)
Thune (Johnson loses by a nose amid allegations of fraud)
Davis (Simon made too many mistakes, but it will be within a point or two)
Bush (Dems go down in FL big time)
Townsend (GOP absentee votes that were tossed make all the difference here)
GOP ends up +3 in the Senate, and will have a shot at Landrieu in the runoff, they gain 10-15 House seats.

I predict a clean sweep all republicans! Wouldn't that be a terrific jolt? Say goodbye Terry!

?? You're not criticizing this election thread are you? I think this is a good use of a vanity thread.

ppphhhhbbbbt! :-p~

Sure hope you are right!!!
That would be great - because that's what I keep hearing - is how the Dems are going to make quite a few gains this time in local, state and governor races. We need to keep those down, as well!!

Is that girl in the photo Barbara Streisand's daughter?
To: hchutch
Wow, hope you're wrong about Townsend. But a good list there.

Wanna go through FR right now, and count the number of these threads? Are ALL of them equally necessary?
Have you noticed how bogged-down and unresponsive the servers are this morning? Want to guess how much worse they'll be tonight?
Want to deny that posting a bunch of repetitive vanity posts is going to make that MUCH worse?

You forgot Iowa!!
We'll get 6 more years of the great DungHeap Senator from the Bahamas, Tom Harkin, who pretends to live here every 6 years, because the Union thugs and Farmers addicted to suckling from the government teat outnumber the rest of the electorate; and we'll get 4 more years of a Dem as Gov because the Republican candidate is less than charm free...
