President Bush and First Lady Laura Bush ended their campaign trail today in Texas after visiting Missouri and Arkansas. The first couple will cast their votes tomorrow- their 25th anniversary- in Crawford. And today, birthday gal Laura was treated to rounds of 'Happy Birthday to You' at campaign stops. Enjoy your daily dose of Dubya!

I've seen that tie before, and it is my favorite. I hope it is a good luck tie.

Thanks for the extra special treat of a dose along with the anniversary tribute. Thank you RWP.

These pictures are outstanding today. The photographer is very talented. Hope it is the white house photographer.

Lawgirl, You have such a way with words!

It's a gift that seems to have eluded me. But reading your account and comments and discriptions made me feel like I was there! :^)

but I am praying that God lets us win quick this time!

Reminds me of the Patriot's prayer (Mel Gibson playing The Patriot): Lord, make me fast and accurate!

You are also right about what a great communicator he is. The press has it all wrong. When I saw him, I could not believe how dishonest the reporting was. He is wonderful and he works a crowd so well.

Oh, and he is absolutely, positively, GORGEOUS! No doubt about it.

After all, I've followed him every single day for the past two years, so--it sounds ridiculous but he really is familiar to me.

Like a friend, lawgirl......a dear and beautiful friend. It may seem a bit weird to say this, but when he walked up to me and looked at me, I knew him! I almost expected him to say my name!

He has such a gift, and from everything I've heard, Laura has the same ability!

Karma? probably not.......I'd say divine blessing! :o)

And I am SURE he saw you!

My phone has rung all evening ... no actual live people, unfortunately, but George called me; Laura called me; Barbara Bush called me; a college girl who is voting republican called me; and Rick Perry called me.

All of the above had warm, positive messages with no mention of their opponents.

And then, while I was eating, Ron Kirk called me. He went on and on about some kind of negative ads his opponents were putting out on him, last minute lies, he called them. He didn't say anything specific, just told me not to be fooled.

Well, guess what, Ron, I'm not fooled; I'm voting straight Republican tomorrow.

I'm voting straight Republican tomorrow.

Some might say you can either vote straight Republican or vote crooked Democrat.

Some might say that.

Maybe she knows how affectionate she is, and how easy it would be for herself to be a little too unlady like ??

I could be missing it, but the look on her face, and her body language, when he kisses her in public give me the impression that she knows she can't encourage him ... in public. ;-)

Do you remember the Author's Conference when he patted her on the bottom? She said "Be a good boy" to him, and then I SWEAR she said "Later." ;o)

Imagine having all that affection and energy directly solely at her! Whew!! She has perfected the art of making him wait until "later" when he starts giving her public attention!

Congratulations Counsel ! You did what you could to be one of the first inside. Commendable. Sorry to here about your misfortune regarding the pictures taken.

Speaking of accentuating the positive- getting to see the first couple together is definitely a bonus. Major points !

" I DID get to see Laura ON her birthday ( BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH ) " Now Counsel, that is really rubbing it in...

Your idea of the first couple's morning dialogue is too funny !

" I almost cried right there. NO FLOOR SEATS WHAT?!?!?! " Oh Man I would be having a cow about right then ! I see that you didn't take the news about the second floor seating arrangement very well. About those floor seats... at least you didn't have to stand for hours on end and THEN find out that you were not going to have a close encounter with -W -

(a total stonehead liberal I think—he asked what the W on my hat stood for DUH!) Don't hold back, let er rip Counsel ! ~damn morons anyway~

I was looking the other way when the person that puts the seal on the speakers lectern did so in Springfield, and the crowd roared their approval. I turned around in time to see the seal go up and it's like, O-K, NOW it's official. The Big Guy is on the way.

-W- is very comfortable speaking to the audience, and he is unpretentious as well. -W's- predecessor knew only one way to communicate with the people- in code. Doublespeak was the new language of the executive branch of government.

Speaking of Satan, I saw Bubba and Goron together in Champaign, Illinois, the day after the first pervert said " I did not have sex with that woman... blah blah blah " I only went because it was the very next day after this story broke and I wanted to see this spectacle unfold, and it did, and it was. I stood up and did a full circle in front of my seat and stared in disbelief as the sheep applauded these mobsters repeatedly. IT WAS EMBARRASSING !

Wouldn't it be great if there is a crushing total sweep by the GOP across the nation tomorrow at the polls ?

Back to our man -W- That IS so funny (-W- puffs out his cheeks and imitates relief by a woosh sound) LOL

A very fine piece of journalistic work you've done tonight Counsel. Thank you for taking us into the arena with you. Better luck next time. I'm darn proud of you- getting down onto the floor like you did.

You distinguished yourself by acting in the finest of freeper and daily dose traditions. In keeping to the highest standards of Bush Bot behavior, I salute you with 3 fingers held aloft forming the now famous W symbol. Take a bow !

When George called, no one else was home, so I said (out loud,) "Well HI GEORGE!" It must have caused the recording to start over again because he began again, "Hi. This is Predient George Bush....." So I coughed, and it began again. I did this about 5 or 6 times (I know Gramma, I'm a DORK!), but I finally let him finish.

Anita Perry called last week, but that is the only other call I've received. I think they know they have 2 solid Republican votes here. (The wife and me. Don't go reportin' me for double voting!)

Do ALL states have a straight Republican option? Makes it so much easier and quicker to vote.
