Do you or any other Minnesotans know if this debate will be re-run in primetime?
To: Mo1
Coleman's closing statement was sloppy, and ill prepared. Mondale's was better.

Mondale keeps talking about being independent...Coleman is the only one talking about working in a bipartisan way, while Mondale continues to drone on with the democratic line.
Mondale is a huge jerk!!!

I'm a Minnesotan. Norm won the debate, hands down, just like he will the election tomorrow.
To: KeatsforFirstDog
No offense but what's with these Minnesotans? They're cheering as if it was a football game! I'm not feeling great about this race.

I can't believe Mondale had the nerve to mention "rising interest rates."And this calling himself "truly independent" time and time again.
It's over and raucous cheers erupt (right after Mondale's closing).
Fox doing analysis and Tony Snow points out Coleman's gentlemanly demeanor.
To: Queen of Excelsior
Mondale just asked who could be trusted to be independant in WA. So far, this dabate says Coleman. Mindale was an evil old fart. Coleman was the most sincere. This is a Coleman win. Mondale is unlikeable.
Fox has good reviews for Coleman. Says Mondalke was brushing off old dust.

Let's get the RATS out, once and for all. Once that high and worthy cause is done, we can turn our attention to the pursuit of liberty as enshrined in the Constitution. You give yourself away, RBA. Republican before American.
Party politics first, constitution second.

Actually I think the fact that Mondale seems to be holding his own in this debate is a blessing in disguise. Had Mondale fallen flat on his face, he might have gotten some "sympathy" from voters and been issued a free pass. After all, was Mondale not "pulled" out of retirement and thrust into this race barely a week ago? Since Mondale is being such a cantankerous ass, the sympathy vote is less of a factor.

Mondale: "I...I....I....I...I....I...and, I"
To: Howlin
He keeps saying he's going into the leadership because Daschle made a big deal of stating that last week when he was officially nominated.
To: iconoclast
Not sure. Won't be run in Mpls until after the 10PM news.
To: iconoclast
It will be re-played at 10:00 PM tonight.

Yes, that's exactly what it has looked like. Good description.

One question: Why is there no "Democratic" party in MN... only the "Democratic-Farmer-Laborer" (DFL) party? Becasue the National Socialist German Workers Party (NDSP) was taken.
To: bigaln2
It stands for Dead Fetus Liberal.
To: Howlin
WHY DOES HE KEEP SAYING "INDEPEDENT????????????????"That's where the undecideds are. Of course, he's a lying Marxist sack of dog excrement.

It's over and raucous cheers erupt (right after Mondale's closing). Can you say "bussed-in union goons?"

I hate to say it but the old fart won. Coleman should have delivered a knock-out punch but he didn't. Mondale was aggressive and Coleman let him be so. I was disappointed in Norm's performance. Mondale wins tomorrow.

Unions must have bused the audience in after telling their employers to
pi@@ off because they had campaign stuff to do.
