This debate is at the Fitzgerald Theatre in St. Paul -NPR land. Of course, they will favor Mondale.

This Norm Coleman looks like presidental material to me.

Mondale reminds me of some mean old professors I had in college that should have retired sometime previously. He seems hectoring and judgmental, and of course, totally inflexible. He also seems to have lost the sense of humor he once had.

Coleman's calm respect for Mondale but not letting him get away with any untruth is marvelous to watch.
PLEASE NOTE: Mondale's shakey right hand. That shaking hand is important, definite negative for Mondale. He keeps it hidden unless he forgets when he loses his temper.
Coleman is one cool dude.

Coleman is doing an excellent job sounding "independent". Sounding non-partisan...probably will sell very well in MN.

I agree -- I just got an e-mail from a good friend -- she was going to vote for Rendell (Dem. for governor in PA) but I talked to her in church yesterday and told her he was totally for abortion (and for tax-payer funds to pay for it) and she has changed her mind -- she adores Rendell and loves what he did for Philly -- but realizes this is an important issue and as a Christian she cannot vote for him

Still, he has to walk on eggshells or we'll hear how he beat up on a Senior Citizen and is denigrating Wellstone's memory...blah, blah blah!
I wish he would attack, media be damned!

The farmers want trade with Cuba.
In the debate on Friday night, he said he opposed ANWR.

Mondale talking about the "dreadful tax cut." Gee Norm, jump in that opening, please!
To: Torie
How can he say with a straight face he'd go to D.C. as an independent?

It's a draw at this point, which is not good for Norm.
