Mondale -- pres. bush has a right-wing bias (still talking about abortion) -- he's sending up judges who are too contoversial -- not sure he should be taking this position -- a LOT of people are pissed about the back-up of judicial nominees -- just what we need --another partisan dawdler

Applause for Mondale from the audience. Who's in that audience?
To: maximus@Nashville
Barkley is currently the head of Minnesota's Planning Commission, in Ventura's cabinet, and Reform party candidate for Senate in 1996 (the Independence party is the successor to the Reform party). He's VERY close to Jesse.

Oh my gosh! Mondale just hit Coleman with his cane!
To: section9
Is Norm enunciating and speaking up? People have problem listening to him because he talks too fast. Please share impressions. Thanks, Chris.

I wasn't very old when Mondale ran for President. It's no wonder he lost. What a vicious old creep.
To: Mo1
Barkley is one of the Independent Party founders in Minnesota. He ran for the Senate in the 1990s and got Jesse to run for governor.
To: concerned about politics
Coleman needs to attack Mondale on this right-wing crap. What a frickin crock by Mondale.
To: rintense
Mondale is not lost. He actually appears vibrant and coherent, not like he is on the stump. He's attacking hard and Coleman is doing nothing to hit back. He's being very restrained

Mondale really filibustering on judicial appointments and saying not much of anything. Mondale rudely interrupts Coleman. Coleman with brilliant retort: this is the tone (Mondale's rudeness) that people don't want in Washington. Brilliant!
To: concerned about politics
Hehehehe. Technology. Ain't it sumtin ?

Mondale is painful to watch. Old, confused, then his few remaining brain cells get synchronized and he spouts out a talking point.

Litmus tests for judges, eh? Good Lord, so if a person is against killing unborn children, he cannot be a judge? Gimme a frickin' break.

Mondale is being nasty -- Coleman is gentlemanly and saying this is just what we need to STOP -- all the nasty bickering and refusal to get along -- Excellent !
