Clinton Makes Entrance By Trash Dumpsters (Arkansas after FReep Report)
November 3, 2002 | Arkansas Hog Wild FReepers

Posted on 11/03/2002 6:07:39 PM PST by sweetliberty

We have just returned to Budge's house to do the FReep report because there is a lot of information to report.

In attendance were Budge, Travelgirl, The Battman, parsifal, Don Frivoinai, sweetliberty, and another FReeper who, for reasons you will come to understand shortly, needs to remain anonymous until after the election.

We arrived at Budge's around noon to get everything set up for the maiden FReep of the Arkansas Hog Wild FReepers and the FReepmobile. We got to the site around quarter after 1 and finished up some signs and headed over to the convention center to await the arrival of XXX42 and his horde of Rats. There we were joined by several folks from the Hutchinson campaign and there were quite a few folks who came down from Mount Ida. There ended up being about 30 of us on the outside.

During the wait, we were informed of quite a few "questionable" things going on. For starters, there was one young man who is active with Tim Hutchinson's campaign who was threatened with arrest if he didn't leave the premises. He had done nothing to provoke this action other than they knew who he was. One of the FReepers who is a poll watcher was also threatened with arrest when she tried to go inside the convention center. Another young man who is a Hutchinson aide had a ticket to the event and because he had been seen talkiing to the "opposition" he was not allowed in, being told that it was a private event and they could exclude whoever they wanted to. There was also a group of black folks who were with us so this young man passed his ticket to one of the black guys, who removed all his campaign stuff and went in incognito, laughing saying that they'd never suspect a black guy. Will give you his report later.

Nobody would tell us what door Clinton would be entering by so we took a chance and hung out on one side of the building where they said the car would drive by. True to form, XXX42 was late by nearly an hour. But here is the great part. We were positioned between 2 entrances. One was a major side entrance. The other was a small, fenced-in service entrance by the garbage dumpsters. Well, guess which one he used. Think....which would be most appropriate. Yep, you guessed it. The snake slithered in through the garbage entrance. And he got a look at our signs. It was a classic moment in FReeperdom.

There was a whopping 500 people or so there for the "event". There were few enough people that there was a Jehovah's Witness convention going on in the building at the same time. When Clinton arrived the Jehovah's Witnesses started leaving. At that time we didn't realize that there was another event going on and Travelgirl and The Battman asked one of the cops on duty why everyone was leaving. He responded, "if Clinton entered a room, what would YOU do?" When the Jehovah's Witnesses left, the parking lot started clearing out.

Anyway, we may have to flesh in this post after we all get home because there is a lot to tell, but there is certain information that it is very important to get out there NOW! Back to our "spy". When he came out, he said they were running it like a church service, and the whole focus was on how the evil Republicans are trying to keep them from voting. They were saying that we have all the poll watchers this election to prevent THEM from voting. Now, here is the clencher. They were told that there would be attorneys posted at every precinct to prevent poll watchers from challenging ANY ballots. Now, mind you, one of our poll watchers has already had massive problems with them at the polls during early voting the past couple of weeks and has been advised to retain an attorney. They have had the sherriff remove her from the polls twice when she had done nothing inappropriate...only challenging ballots for improper or no ID. There is an all out campaign by these people to intimidate the poll watchers and then turn around and accuse us of voter intimidation. This is serious and at least one person has some legitimate fear. I can't really elaborate at this point. The reason we wanted to get this up right away is to get other FReepers on the case to get this publicized and contact appropriate media, political and legal sources to alert them that Republican poll watchers in this county are likely to be facing an organized, all-out Rat attack. Any help that FReepers can offer is needed!! Make phone calls, send letters. Whatever you can do. Post your ideas as well.

The Republican party has been informed of what’s happening in PB. I was just notified that they have taken steps to, hopefully, prevent any misconduct tomorrow.

Since the Freep has been very well covered, I’ll just add that it was great to meet several conservatives from all over AR and a new Freeper, Spitfire, who is really working hard for our cause. One lone man had a “If I had lied, I’d be in jail” poster.

Since only one had heard of freerepublic.com, we passed out small pieces of paper with “freerepublic.com; aztlan.net; lulac.org.” Soon, they will be hooked like the rest of us.

Besides the great posters we had, I wore my “CLINTON WAS THE BEST PRESIDENT CHINESE $$ COULD BUY” that Angelwood had previously sent me.

Poll watchers are Official. Any not official observer is to be outside. Are unofficial observers allowed in your area?

Where I am un-official observers are to watch from outside the poll boundary.

WE MUST VOTE!

If I have mentioned this to you before, please ignore it ( done this so many times I can't recall all the names! )-- but since you have a large ping list, be advised we have set up a base camp at Free Dominion in the event FR has technical problems:

-Free Dominion Guest Room for Freepers--

In fact, even if FR runs normally, it might be handy to run a chat thread over there- using the 2-browser trick, we could all simultaneously monitor both sites.

one of our group was in touch with the Republican headquarters and found that we will have our own lawyers in many of these places in positions of quiet observation

This is very good news. And you do not need to thank me for doing my duty, the little I can to help prevent voter fraud against our enemies. :)

only challenging ballots for improper or no ID.

Must be nice. Here in Californicate we don't have to show any identification whatsoever.

Colorado requires no ID either, but when I lived there there were not the kinds of problems with vote fraud that is prevalent in some other key areas. Their listing system seems to work very well.

Thank you...I really do love that song, but it took a long FReepin' time to parody...LOL!!

Only one that took longer was "Miss American Pie", but DFU's got the penultimate FReep of Don Mclean's classic Lib'ral Kumbuyah ditty. DFU, you got that version handy, my FRiend?

Has Pryor answered this question yet?!

When question Sunday by The Washington Times, the Pryor campaign would not answer as to whether Pryor paid either Social Security, or income taxes on Osorio's wages.

I'm way behind in reading all the posts on this thread. Great job by all.

Thanks for recycling the CLINTON IS THE BEST PRESIDENT CHINESE $$ COULD BUY button. That statement still holds true. And now, there are plenty of others vying for the privilege of buying pieces of Bill Clinton -- speeches, fundraisers, book advances......

We need not pray to win, but that the integrity of the election is maintained in spite of all the fraud they're commiting for their own self-interests.

That is exactly my prayer.......that Satan be bound as the Dems try to perpetrate fraud on the American people. That the true winners of these elections will assume office. IMO, that will mean Republican victories all over the country.

As requested by user named luv2ndamend I submit the following for general consumption:

http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/articles/A1835-2002Nov4.html

Text reads as follows: Vote Monitors to Head to 14 States

By Curt Anderson/Associated Press Writer/Monday, November 4, 2002; 11:25 AM

WASHINGTON –– The Justice Department is dispatching more than 400 people to monitor polling places in 14 states on Election Day to ensure compliance with federal voting laws.

The observers will be watching for any signs of discrimination based on race or problems encountered by the disabled, as well as whether all eligible voters are able to cast a ballot. Widespread voting problems were reported in 2000, particularly in Florida where the results delayed by a month the declaration of a presidential winner.

In all, 432 observers, including 108 Justice Department lawyers and other personnel, will monitor elections in 26 counties.

Courts have ordered federal observers in seven counties, with another eight assigned observers because they are in areas covered specifically by the Voting Rights Act. These counties are: Apache and Navajo in Arizona; Randolph, Georgia; Wayne, Michigan; Adams and Amite, Mississippi; Passaic, New Jersey; Bernalillo, Cibola, Sandoval and Socorro, New Mexico; Kings and New York, New York; Titus, Texas; and San Juan, Utah.

These observers, sent by the federal Office of Personnel Management, will be overseen by 38 Justice Department officials who will maintain contacts with local election officials should problems surface.

Seventy other Justice Department officials, most of them civil rights attorneys, will monitor elections in: San Francisco; Waterbury, Conn.; Broward, Duval, Miami-Dade, Orange and Osceola counties, Fla.; St. Louis; San Juan County, N. M.; Queens County, N.Y.; and Reading, Penn.

Complaints about possible discrimination in voting can be made to the Justice Department's Civil Rights Division at 1-800-253-3931.

Maranatha: Prayer IS the answer.

I watch all the polls, the predictions, but at the end I say, Lord, this is in your hands.

We pray that God will put into positions of power Godly leaders; that justice prevail in each race; reveal and stop all voter fraud; and to help and protect our brother in Christ, President George Bush

I stand in 100% agreement with you. It all starts and ends with God's will. I feel excited and peaceful about the upcoming results at the same time. We are sooooooooooooo blessed-this nation will NOT stand for fraud or distortion, those days are ending. (Hear that dems? Believe it.)

sweetliberty-That is good to know-I know the attorneys our DOJ sends will be acute but respectful. Good for the RNC-let truth and honor guide those responsible for voting booth protocol tomorrow!

In florida it is not illegal to record an open air conversation between people. (they rats just did this to Jeb bush) If there is no such limit in arkansas then you would have proof at to your conduct and theirs.
