President Bush hit the road again today to support Republican candidates in Kentucky, Pennsylvania, and New Hampshire. First Lady Laura Bush also traveled the campaign trail by stumping in North Carolina and Georgia. The First Couple will continue traveling this weekend, heading to Florida and Minnesota this weekend. Enjoy your daily dose of Dubya!

Good grief! What is with you two, anyway? It seems to me, Gramma, that this is not the first time I have seen you called a dork. What's the deal??? :-)

She thought for sure she had to fly because it's just so far going from one state to another. We sometimes forget that your states in the East are a tad smaller than those of ours out here in the West. LOLLOL, this is too funny. I've mentioned that we spent several years in the Northern Virginia suburbs of D.C. A few months after we moved there from Texas my husband was injured in a car accident (not seriously) in Maryland. When the ER called me and told me he was in a Maryland hospital, I came undone. In my mind going to another state was at least a day's drive.

"The Freeper was reporting about having to counter-protest some nasy protestors outside the gathering."
We had some protesters trying to disrupt the NH rally but as soon as they opened their mouths they were booed and told "Go back to Baghdad" or "Terrorist Go Home!"
After the rally, there wasn't hide nor hair of the protesters.
I was right at the front of the crowd. Got to shake Dubya's hand. Next time I'm bringing my baby girl for a photo-op!

LOL. yes there is a bit of difference in the size of the states, although Ohio is fairly large. WV is not too large but would be larger than Texas if you ironed out all the mountains. WV has a small population compared to some states. Fewer people than a large city. But ohioWfan lives sort of in the middle eastern part of Ohio and I live on the western border (Ohio River) of WV. So we aren't too far apart. (I'm glad).

They had to resurrect mondale out of his sarcophagus to run because they had no one else.
Not quite true. Rush or Sean, I forget which, was saying today that Alan Page, former NFL All-Pro tackle for the Vikings and currently a Justice on the Minnesota Supreme Court, wanted to run for the Senate. Not to make too fine a point of it, but apparently the Democrats figured a white person would do better in mostly caucasian Minnesota.
From http://minnesotapolitics.net/Judiciary/01SupremeCourt/Page.htm:
Alan Cedric Page
Associate Justice
Minnesota Supreme Court
Associate Justice
January 4th, 1993 - January 3rd, 2005
Alan Page was born on August 7th, 1945 in Canton, Ohio.

Just out of curiosity, about how old is Brad?
This post [#52] sounded like he was really young. Sometimes I think he sounds like a teenager. Sounds like he lives fairly close to you as well, since you seem to see him fairly frequently.

You should try driving from Houston to El Paso some day. You just have to stop and spend the night somewhere. It's about 800 miles. As the old saying goes,"The sun has riz, the sun has set. And here I am in Texas yet."

Anne Northrup is one of my favorite congresswomen. Very astute and articulate. I'm glad President Bush was campaigning for her today, she is a real asset to the House.

Mondale was chosen because of name recognition. Still, I didn't know about Page, thanks for the info.

I think the democrats were afraid to put Alan Page up because they really don't want any powerful African-Americans regardless of what they say. After all his years in pro football and then becoming a state Supreme Court Justice, why he might be competition for her Heinous Hilary. They can't have that, don't ya know

Where should I look for her latest victory? Uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh..........somewhere around here. Some thread having to do with No More Doom and Gloom (re: the elections).
To: ThePythonicCow
Thanks for posting this. I read through his resume and Alan Page is a hard working man.
Rush said he was a law and order kind of judge. So why is he a Democrat?
To: SwatTeam
My brother was on a flight once and he said the pilot came on and said, "well, now we are flying over West Texas." Then he came on about 2 hours later and said, "well, now we are still flying over West Texas!"

apparently the Democrats figured a white person would do better in mostly caucasian Minnesota. The Dems only want to preach inclusion, not actually practice it.

Thanks. If I can stay awake much longer I'll do a search on her name. Her posts are always good reading. Did you do those buttonholes yet? Hint: velcro is very easy.
