Remember that old saying "if you don't like the weather in Texas, wait a minute and it will change"? I remember once in Waco in the early 80's we got 15 inches of snow in one day which was some kind of world record, lol. We've only been back in Texas six years and have lived in places where it snowed a lot and I kind of miss that occasional pretty white blanket.

Oh. Trust me. I'm NOT cold....but thanks.
YOU keep warm. And take care of that cold!!!!

October ever being as cool as it was this year, but our summer was milder than normal too. So much for that global warming theory. It's pretty cold over here in the northeast also .. tonight it's supose to go down to 25 degrees .. burrrrrr

Take care of your cold. I hope you have some good books to read during this nasty spell. I have an e-book and it is great downloading books from the internet to read. Don't have to get out of the house in nasty weather to go to the library. Take care and get well.

You know, I have this feeling that if he saw me again, he would remember me.......in spite of all the people he meets every day. It was that personal.I bet he'd remember you, ohio. He could probably tell by looking in your eyes how much you care about him, about his family, and about our nation. I'm sure you touched HIM, too!
Your story was fantastic, and you, WVNan, and Eric are so lucky!
To: NordP
We're all so glad you're back! Have been thinking about you, knowing that this has been a painful time for you and your family. Enjoyed your stories about your father. There is something so special about dads, and hopefully the wonderful memories you have will carry you through this time. Maybe prayers from us Dosers will help.
Hope you'll feel up to posting a palm tree or two one day soon, but take your time. We're all here for ya.

We feel very lucky mary. It was an evening to remember. Everything went so smoothly throughout the entire trip. It was divinely guided. I know because I was being a worry wart about how it was going to go when I picked up a Testamint (a little candy with a Scripture reading) and it said, "Be not afraid for I am God." So I stopped worrying. Now I'm off to bed. Long day tomorrow. God bless.

I was so glad to find this report from you on this post from last night. I had been wondering about you and how you were doing.
You do know that your sweet Daddy is in the hands of the Lord now, and so happy, and so free from all of the cares of this world. I really hope that brings you some peace and comfort.
We love you, and will continue to remember you and your family in our prayers.

NordP, it was Mo who pinged me to the thread that night. She is not only a wonderful friend she is a great "go to" person. If she doesn't know the answer, she usually knows someone who does. Love that Philly Girl. :)
Mo, Thank you :)

oWf, I just loved seeing your pictures and reading your account of meeting our wonderful President. Although, I confess to being more than a little jealous over that kiss. :) Thank you so much for sharing such a memorable experience with all of us. I marvel that you had the presence of mind to keep snapping pictures as he came closer and closer. :) Good work :)
