KEY BLAGOJEVICH SUPPORT GROUP CAUGHT TRYING TO TELL PEOPLE GEORGE RYAN IS ON THE BALLOT FOR GOVERNOR
SPRINGFIELD - Since the beginning of the campaign for Governor, Rod Blagojevich has been trying to cynically confuse the public about George Ryan and Jim Ryan.
Now, the Illinois AFL-CIO, one of Blagojevichs key support groups, has been caught distributing a mailing that portrays George Ryan as the candidate for Governor.
"Nearly every newspaper in the state says that Jim Ryan is better suited to be governor of Illinois than Rod Blagojevich," said Dan Curry, Jim Ryans press secretary. "No wonder the Democrats want to fool people into believing Blagojevich is running against George Ryan. It is beyond believability this was an honest mistake."
Rod Blagojevich is relying heavily on unions for financial support in his special interest-laden campaign for governor. Unions have given him millions of dollars.
Newspapers around the state said Sunday that Jim Ryan is best suited to clean up state government and tackle the tough fiscal problems facing Illinois.
The Tribune said: Let's get one thing out of the way: George Ryan is not going to win on Nov. 5. He won't be on the ballot. There are no apologists for George Ryan running for governor this year. He doesn't have a proxy in the race. He doesn't even have a friend in the race
We're confident that if voters consider these two candidates on their own merits alone, they will elect Atty. Gen. Jim Ryan. The Tribune today endorses Ryan for governor."

Well, well, well. Haven't we all suspected all along that the union organizers (thugs?!) would try something like this? And just to think they got caught in the act?!!!!

Every decent person in this state is gonna vote for Jim Ryan, but I sure wish he had a real Conservative instead of these friggin' country club RINOs.

The best part was that "Bubbles" is denying that he requested the printer to print George Ryan information. Also that he considers the Illinois union voters to be unworthy of the printing job since he had a printer in San Francisco do the work!

I hadn't heard that. Then every printer in this state ought to be offended too. The Blago Fiends probably went out of state thinking it would help control any leaks - well, obviously this plan backfired on them in a big way.

Every decent person in this state is gonna vote for Jim Ryan, but I sure wish he had a real Conservative instead of these friggin' country club RINOs.This is Illinois. Your choices are pork flowing to Democrat fatcats or Republican fatcats. Either way the pork is going to flow. State motto: "Where's mine?"

Illinois-related bump.

The answer to that is to run a REAL conservative like Fitzgerald who doesn't behave like the typical pork-barrel-style politicians. Obviously, we managed to get him elected over Carol Mostly-Fraud. Why can't we do it again?!
To: NotJustAnotherPrettyFace
Fitzgerald ran opposed to the Republican-picked candidate and beat her in the primary. He then had the good fortune to run against an unusually tone-deaf and self-destructive Democrat in the general election. I doubt it could happen again in this state.

Thanks for the heads up. Ryan leaves a lot to be desired as a candidate, but I WILL hold my nose and vote for him over the democRAT gun grabber.

We a poised for a complete Commie takeover here in Illinois. Blowdryovich will undoubtly become the next in a long line of Democratic Governors (like Otto Kerner and Dan Walker before him) to wind up in prison. It seem that we have to give the Democrats a shot at the Governor's office here once a generation then people come to their senses once again after the taxes go up. Another six years for Dick Durbin (My Party First, My Country Last)as our Senator. It gets worse.
We now have Lisa Madigan about to elected Attorney General. She is the most unqualified person in the history of politics for any position. She has NEVER tried a case in her life. She has law license and is the daughter of the all powerful House Speaker Michael Madigan (pay no attention to the man behind that curtain!). She is in virtual tie with DuPage County State's Attorney Joe Birkett. Cook County vote fraud will surely out her over the top.
Our only salvation is that there will be a Republican U.S. Attorney in Chicago for the next six years at least so these people can get indicted.

You called the Democratic candidate "Bubbles". Do you listen to Jay Marvin (WLS AM) also, or did you hear that somewhere else?

Hear ye Hear ye. This state is about to elect a bunch of crooks, from Rod BlahBlahgovich, whose is actually a puppet for his father-in-law,Chicago Alderman Mell, to a really slimy liar, Lisa Madigan with zip experience in anything, whose old man is an old time machine politician and powerhouse down in the state legislature. The whole state will be beholden to Chicago machine politics, and downstate will get squat. By the way, downstate is all of the Chicago suburbs on down, only Chicago is not "downstate" to a dem. It's really scary that the whole state will be in the hands of crooks. It horrifies me. But a state gets what it votes for, just too bad it has to take me down with it.

just too bad it has to take me down with it. I predict a real estate boom in NW Indiana.
I'm ready to move myself.

All the media is pushing Blago, the media run polls have him winning, but I wouldn't be surprised if he gets stiffed. Oh he'll win in Chicago, but not downstate. Blago is one sleazy SOB.

This is the most depressing race for me, first I've had to suffer being in his ward and now after 30 years this oaf is going to be Governor?!? He and Hilliary remind me of the purpose of Dead Zone (holding hand over heart)
To: NotJustAnotherPrettyFace
Tanks much for the bump. One good bump deserves another: BTTT!

What's the latest poll data on Birkett/Madigan?
