3rd Person Involved in Beltway Sniper Case? Montgomery AL Police Chief Wants to Know.
Fox News ^ | 27 Oct 02 | Rita Cosby

Posted on 10/27/2002 8:57:58 PM PST by Alas Babylon!

Rita Cosby interviewed Montgomery, AL Mayor Bobby Bright and Police Chief John Wilson. Wilson told Cosby he was very concerned because both Muhammed and Malvo were on foot, being chased by police officers. The chase was interrupted by a large blue car that Muhammed ran into, putting both hands on the hood to prevent him coliding with it. After this moment, both men being chase escaped. Later--still in September, Montgomery police put out a public call for the driver of the blue car to come forward; fingerprints on the car could be used to break the case. However, and a little surprisingly, no one came forward.

Now Chief Wilson is concerned about the car. It was going through a fast food drive thru when the foot chase began. Wilson explained that BOTH Mohammed and Malvo were, at that moment, being persued on foot. Then the blue car came directly at Muhammed, nearly hitting him. Shortly after, the foot chase ends with the escape of Muhammed and Malvo. Wilson is concerned the car is in fact the blue 1990 cheverolet that Muhhamed and Malvo were using in Washington. He then stated he is concerned that if this is the case, then who was driving this car on September 21st, while Muhammed and Malvo were being chased on foot by Montgomery, Alabama policemen?

"Could have blam, the article that I read did not say that it had been solved. Could be in a later article."

I'm not real sure either.

Yes,I agree with you. Plus some of our great FReeper record keepers always seem to have a link to a detail. Or as TexKat did just now by reminding me that the stolen credit card belonged to a Greyhound bus driver.

I just checked the Greyhound Bus site for a schedule from Baton Rouge to Camden and the current schedule would take you through Montgomery AL.

Yeah, that Rita is one tough reporter. She asked the father of one of the snipers victims how it "felt" to lose his daughter. She's a real peach.

So here's a theory for your tinfoil hat: Would radical Muslims, who want to conquer the world, have any motivation to get civilian firearms banned (re: Tom Wales assasination)?

You are correct the 16 year olds boyfriend did it.

What else was Wales working on? Did he have any cases that might cause problems for Nation of Islam thugs?

"They didn't realize that the 'blue' car was involved in the robbery and thought the person must have been a witness but, could not understand why the witness did not come forward even after they offered a reward. They understand now that the blue car and the driver were involved in the robbery."

Surely someone is going to come up with the possibility that the driver of the blue car was from out of state, and thus never saw those commercials or knew about the reward. The world doesn't revolve around Alabama.

"There, can I get a job at Reuters yet?)"

You forgot to say "fully auto, 50 caliber, bolt action , semi automatic, lever action, muzzle loaded, smooth bore, 11:1 twist lethal, uncontrolled, weapon of mass destruction in the hands of a Right Wing Neo Facist evangelist, angry white male, probably on the board of NRA and definitely a racist bigot, hell it might even be Charleton Heston.

Good try Colorado but, "No, you are not yet ready for Reuters."

From the first police press conference it was clear that Montgomery, Alabama had a real police chief and real police force. They discussed the blue car at that first press conference. They have proceeded in the most professional way from the time of the shooting of the two liquor store employees.

Heard on the news tonite that a handgun was found in the vehicle. This may be the weapon used to shoot the girl in the face in Tacoma. The family had taken the side of the killer's wife in a custody dispute so Mohammad is now a suspect in that unsolved murder as well.

Am I the onluy one that thinks it odd that the driver of the getaway car would be stopping off for some fast food instead of waiting around the corner?

"Chief Wilson wants to nail the bastards who killed the poor lady in Montgomery, Al.. " Well the Chief had his chance to nail the bastards in Ala. What happened to the cop's guns? They had 2 or 3 murderers in their sights and managed to do nothing to stop them....I think Chief has a lot of explaining or CYA to do!
