LONDON (NEWS OF THE WORLD) - Fears are growing that not one, but several maniacal marksmen may sweep across the States as intelligence experts studied their strongest clue yet that the killer gunman is linked to Osama bin Laden. A training video and a guidebook written by his terrorist group al-Qaeda bears frightening similarities to the sniper's murderous methods in the Washington region. Up to 50 cities have been alerted that the random killings may be the work of a skilled and highly-organised terrorist group. One intelligence source told the News of the World: "We're hearing that what is currently happening in Washington is just the start of sniper-terrorism." One theory investigators are working on is that terrorists have been told to "go out there and behave like an American psycho". Now that it has worked so well in Washington, the plan is to take sniper-terror to other cities. The FBI has begun questioning al-Qaeda captives in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, to find out if there are terrorist links to the shootings. Cities are already showing signs of the same fear that has paralysed the Washington region—where the sniper has killed nine of the 11 victims he has gunned down. Some Americans believe that those figures, 9/11, have a frightening significance, echoing the date of the World Trade Center attacks and prove that the sniper is a terrorist. Last night's first game in the baseball championship in San Francisco, California, was played under unprecedented security precautions. Armed police swarmed the Giants' home ground, installing their own sniper teams in the roof of the 40,000-seat stadium. In New York and Chicago extra security has been laid on at shopping centres and petrol stations— both favourite haunts of the Washington sniper. A warning has also been sent to all US Senators, telling them that al-Qaeda snipers may target them...on golf courses. At weekends, manyplay golf at exclusive country clubs. But in the al-Qaeda training video now being studied "frame-by-frame" by the CIA, golf courses are identified as ideal areas for an attack. In terrifyingly familiar detail, the video shows: Hooded al-Qaeda terrorists being taught how to use the AK-47 rifle as a sniper weapon—the same gun that has been used by the Washington sniper. Terrorists preparing to drive to sniper attacks in a transit van, similar to the white van seen at attacks in America. An evil al-Qaeda instructor recommending that snipers hit people in gas stations or car parks. He also tells viewers that a concerted yet random sniper campaign would cause panic and terror in a large city and says America would be a particularly soft target because of the number of wide freeways filled with similar vehicles. Last night a CIA source revealed: "This video was brought back to America and stored. But over recent weeks it has been taken out of the vaults and is now being looked at frame-by-frame." Meanwhile, police in Washington are continuing their search for the sniper one of the largest manhunts in history. Tip-off But last night they refused to release the preliminary results of tests on a seized white truck, found on Friday with an empty shell casing in the "cargo section". Speculation was high that they were angry that information about the truck had been "leaked" and could be used to tip off the killer. The police said the truck was still being worked on by forensic and ballistic experts and their work was not expected to be finished until tomorrow at the earliest. Their job was further hampered earlier this week when 37-year-old Matthew Dowdy said he saw the latest shooting outside a DIY store. Dowdy, of Falls Church, Virginia, claimed he saw the gunman holding an AK-47 to his shoulder just 30 yards from where FBI terrorism analyst Linda Franklin, 47, was killed on Monday night. But he has now been arrested, accused of lying. At least seven people were injured yesterday when a car bomb exploded outside a McDonald's restaurant in southwest Moscow. Last night officials were still trying to determine whether the explosion was a terrorist act or the work of Russia's criminal underworld.
Everyone keeps discounting the Al Qaeda connection, but -- call me a tin-foil king if you want -- I need to see more before I rule it out.

What it appears you can piece together about about Camp Zero is this--mostly from overseas news media. The Brits originally reported that Al Queda not only had training camps in Afghanistan and other Middle East, Far East and Africa environments, but also in the United States, citing Camp Zero. The camp immediately responds by denial.
However what then comes out is that one of these Islam non-profits has leased or rented or temporary use arranged the camp (and maybe an abandoned quarry in Washington state) for what it then claims is a religious study purpose. The whole thing then gets swept under the rug in a story that whatever they were doing has been stopped.
My own reading of it is that in fact, Al Queda has been running domestic training operations in the United States in which the suspect Muhammad was a participant trainee.
Also clearly in the record is that Muhammad has been a "devoted Moslem" and head of a "devoted Moslem family" for at least 17 years. He is also "anti-American"; a pro 9/11 attack sympathiser. The sniper attack is straight out of the Al Queda training manual which we captured in Afghanistan.
It seems to me that on the face of the current record, it is very difficult to sustain the liberal media position that this is not an Islamic attack on America.
At some point, you need to develop a legal basis for the position that the liberals and media that are attempting to obfuscate the Al Queda connection are accessories to a conspiratorial effort to help the enemy avoid responsibility--you charge the talking heads and prosecute them also and impose appropriate penalties if they are convicted.
