Let's keep a live commentary thread going again today. The FBI Tip Line #1-888-324-9800.
All seems quiet since yesterday's news the shooter may target children specifically. It was released on various news outlets the shooter's 3-page letter to police was in broken English and threatened extreme violence. Police announced an electronic transfer of $10m as requested by the shooter was not possible but other options for transfer remain open. No one seriously believes police will actually give the shooter $$, but police are trying to keep a dialogue open with the shooter in an effort to capture this monster.

Yeppers. Thanks!
To: Sacajaweau
What's wrong with this picture?Yeah, like don't we all make deposits to our credit card accounts all the time.
To: areafiftyone
Some official at the press conference said there were lots of immigrants in the area because they had lots of jobs. I wonder how that statement went over with Tommy Daschle?

LOL. Seems a small price if it helps catch the killer.

...however, the use of bad grammar and punctuation in a criminal communiqué is a known tactic to hide the existence of advanced education... DeBug, while that could be true in some cases, in this case I just don't see it; why would he ask for a bank transfer to a DOMESTIC account?? I am no banker but even I know that there is no way a criminal can get money out of a suspect USA account without getting busted. He has repeatedly asked for this money. He can't be as smart as we give him credit for. I think the smartest ideas and techniques are right here on FR, giving the guy more credit than he deserves.

The death card was discovered when? On October 8? Oct. 7, day of the shooting of the boy in Bowie.
To: js1138
Yep. Before the day is over, we may have entered a new realm of cooperation with the Russians.
If, God forbid, this ends as badly for the Russians as 9/11 ended for us, I hope and pray that there is as big an outpouring of support in America for them now as there was in Russia for us then.

Hey, give him a whole package...And a 1000 hours of AOL, free!

Fox is reporting that the money should be deposited in a credit card account....one problem, the credit card is stolen. Vincente Fox??
(sorry couldn't resist)

It just hit me...this guy is NOT ME or Al Qaeda...he IS affiliated with Colombian drug lords/terrorists...probably in the US illegally from Colombia...and has several illegal Mexican and/or Colombian comrades...the ransom business is totally their MO, not Al Qaeda...but they have already kidnapped or scared away from Colombia anyone that could be worth anything...American billionaires have too much security for a kidnapping to work...so now they are terrorizing the DC area with sniper shootings hoping for a big payday, playing on locals already fearful of Al Qaeda...these guys are brutal and ruthless, they have killed dozens of men, women, and children all over South America and in Mexico to maintain their grip on the drug trade...this is why the Feds are involved...this is why Chief Moose is referring to non-Americans being eligible for the reward money..
Anyone want to knock this theory down?
To: Wordsmith
Those jihadists may have just swung the Russian vote on Iraq in the Security Council.
To: ET(end tyranny)
LOL....I will clarify next time..Fox News.
To: Dems_R_Losers
No, I'd believe it was Terrorists from Mars at this point!
To: Wordsmith
I'm with you, Wordsmith. I would imagine President Bush would be the first one to support the Russians. After all, Putin was the first to call us after 9/11 and as the President said - he saw this man's soul. I believed him.

We actually were all taken in hook, line and sinker by Howlin's use of "carp" initially...and WRhine for his mistaken harpooning of Howlin.
So........most of us should be thanking those two.
For my part.....Eel shad not skate out of my duty to sucker up to these two.

They (the hostage-takers in Moscow) claim to have bombs and have let any Muslim audience members leave. And the sniper here has not killed any Moslems.
To: Yaelle
Absolutely none.
To: aristeides
too bad it takes more than an oil tanker for France to wake up, huh....
