Let's keep a live commentary thread going again today. The FBI Tip Line #1-888-324-9800.
All seems quiet since yesterday's news the shooter may target children specifically. It was released on various news outlets the shooter's 3-page letter to police was in broken English and threatened extreme violence. Police announced an electronic transfer of $10m as requested by the shooter was not possible but other options for transfer remain open. No one seriously believes police will actually give the shooter $$, but police are trying to keep a dialogue open with the shooter in an effort to capture this monster.

Moscow hostage crisis sounding very bad. As many as 1000 hostages. 20-40 self-proclaimed suicide bomber hostage takers. Claim to have explosive belts and to have mined the building. Will blow it if attacked. Demanding Russian withdrawal from Chechnya, which isn't happening. We may be looking at a lot of dead innocents and dead Russian police and military very shortly. Russia currently in UN Security Council meeting for vote on Iraq measure.
Prayers for our fellow Russian victims of the jihadists.

Fox is reporting that the money should be deposited in a credit card account....one problem, the credit card is stolen.
To: Howlin
Well, 10-1, the guy who had his credit card stolen called in and it's invalid anyways unless he has a buddy which he has knocked off which I think is very possible.
He may know how to do a little stealthing but looks like he doesn't know much about these ordinary credit cards.
Man, someone knows this guy somewhere. I hope they get some balls and call it in. Raaaaaambling!!!!!!

LOL. Surely, by now everything that can be known about Chief Moose has already been reported.

Just because he knows people doesn't mean he's telling them what he's doing.

I heard that a short time ago and I don't have a problem with it.

"Only one of the 2 men was in a white van at a phone booth when arrested. What were the circumstances of the other fellow that he was arrested nearby? What was the probable cause for the arrest? Did the sniper set these guys up?"
News has reported that a trace confirmed the shooter had made a call to LE from either that phone or one in the area on the night of the Ashland shooting. LE staked out phone booths in the area to see if he might come back.
It was reported that one of the men left the van either to go use another phone or do something else while one man stayed in the van to use the phone at the booth where he was arrested. The other man was also arrested nearby. The white van was a red flag for them.

Russia currently in UN Security Council meeting for vote on Iraq measure.
Which as of yesterday, they rejected our new porposed resolution on Iraq. Not that I don't feel for the hostages.

I wouldn't be surprised. Apparently no matter what happens to Russia or France it all boils down to the almighty dollar when it comes to Iraq.
To: Pinetop
Did the sniper set these guys up? I'd bet dollar's to donuts( Krispy-Kreme) that they were given a day job, with a reference to call the Moose hotline.

Fox is reporting that the money should be deposited in a credit card account....
Is that a secured or unsecured credit card?

Re the Russian plane incident...Office of Homeland Security just issued an all clear on the matter, what ever that means?
To: TexKat
I don't know...the sniper also gave the pin number...how did he get the pin number with a stolen card?.....this isn't making sense....unless he stole someones credit card application...the ones we all get in the mail.
To: areafiftyone
Don't know if anyone has seen this yet. INS to Help Illegals Who Aid Sniper HuntI don't think I have a problem with that at all. Or with illegals who join the Army, etc.
Beats "diversity" lotteries.
