All seems quiet since yesterday's news the shooter may target children specifically. It was released on various news outlets the shooter's 3-page letter to police was in broken English and threatened extreme violence. Police announced an electronic transfer of $10m as requested by the shooter was not possible but other options for transfer remain open. No one seriously believes police will actually give the shooter $$, but police are trying to keep a dialogue open with the shooter in an effort to capture this monster.

You can't seriously believe that we should give into the demands. Every cretin everywhere will use similar tactics if we give in.

So in the long run 1 or 2 more people might get killed before they catch him but you dont want this to become an epidemic like highjacking airlines in the 80's.

The Israeli's kill highjackers even if some people get killed but now they dont have highjackings.

Basically, if they give in any loon will start shooting people to make a quick buck.

I agree about the National Guard in the woods, or LEO's. Someone needs to do it. I do think that way they would come closer to catching the killer/s than blocking traffic in every direction. It makes more sense to me, as the killer is long gone before the first people arrive on the scene. He is at least well on his way toward being gone, anyway. I do feel he has left the area before any LEO gets there.
