An angry letter found tacked to a tree behind a restaurant where the sniper wounded a man this weekend complained of six failed attempts to reach police, and threatened more killings, of children in particular, if millions of dollars were not deposited in a bank account within two days, law enforcement sources said.
The letter listed half a dozen calls that had been "ignored" by operators answering phones at the command center in Rockville, Md., the Montgomery County police station and the FBI. It even named some of the people who had answered the phones.
You do know that "cross-dressing" crap was a planted lie used to slander and demean Hoover, don't you? It was never true...or funny.
Look at that idiot Cornell West. His Harvard education has not prevented him from being an idiot either.
The challenge at many colleges is to get in. Once in, if you dont drop out, you can hardly fail. I "slithered" in here to give my opinion. You dont have to like it. Or are you suggesting that only opinions that agree with yours should be allowed?
You know Howlin, I was a lurker here when you suffered the tragedy in your family a while back, and I grieved right along with you.
When did you become so controlling?
I have my opinion, and you have yours, and thats all there is to it. Please dont tell me what to do, I havent broken any rules here.
Yes. How dare anyone criticize a government bureaucrat, especially one shoehorned into his position by Janet Reno and the Clintons. Everyone should just shut up and do what they're told. And no mumbling in the back of the room either! Sheeesh!!!

You are operating under the impression that Janet Reno appoints police chiefs? What did she do, hold a gun to the head of local officials? Geez, are you out in left field or what? Just because the media says something, it doesn't mean you have to accept it on face value. The local city officials had to choose this man over the other applicants. That's how it really works, despite what the media says.
I'll ask you how you would handle this investigation differently? Wouldn't you have invited in the federal agencies and surrounding agencies and set up basicly the same team this man has? When the crimes occurred, wouldn't you have blocked off local traffic and tried to search the vehicles? Wouldn't you have kept an open dialoge with the perp?
Mumbling is about all some of you can do. I guess that's your idea of contributing. It's my idea of dragging the whole team down.
I'm done with you.
I would remind you that mumbling is about all ANY of us are doing including you.
Calling people names and using invectives when you disagree is a trait of the liberals. You might consider that.
I respect your right to your opinion, I just wish you felt the same.
You state he isn't qualified. I say he has a PhD and a Masters. Your comeback is that it doesn't matter.
I must say, your debate skills are second to none. Who could win a discussion with you based on facts? All you have to do is spout information that may or may not be true, and completely dismiss what are known facts.
And you think you're winning?

Some of us have reminded you and others of obvious facts. That's not mumbling my friend. Mumbling is when people make noise without facts.
Calling people names and using invectives when you disagree is a trait of the liberals. You might consider that.

Out of the volume of comments I've made on this subject, this is what you came away with...
Tell you what, which group of people throw out baseless charges on qualifications? Would that be a conservative or a liberal? You don't know that Police Chief Moose was an affirmative action candidate do you.
Now, wouldn't you be able to agree that calling someone the beneficiary of affirmative action, saying they are unqualified when you have no proof, is the same thing as calling someone names and using invective in the absense of known facts. You might consider that.
I just feel that sometimes we like to stiffle others opinions just because we disagree. If you look back on this thread, you wont find me calling anyone names, or suggesting that they dont have a right to say what they said.
Again, if it was wrong to mention your son, then I apologize.
They feel to a man, that Moose is an embarassment.
I have echoed those thoughts. Even so, its still mumbling in my opinion.
I dont even know you, accept that you are a Conservative. I was only defending my right to disagree. I hope you accept my apology, as I really meant no harm.
