CNN now reporting that the letter threatens children. CNN is now giving that information out...the investigators asked them NOT TO RELEASE THE INFORMATION. The news media is now releasing the information :) Police say DONT DO IT...news media DOES IT. Oh well...we now know why the schools are shut down.

And your right, I suspect they're not saying it's M.E. because of the backlash they're afraid of. Problem with that is, the backlash would probably end up killing the sniper. Something the cops/feds will probably (sadly) never be able to do.

As my son was eating breakfast this morning, the TV news mentioned some schools in that area were closed again today because of the threat. Not unlike the expression of the possibility of snow cancelling school, my son's eyes lit up with the unspoken hope of a day at home. I said forgetaboudit, you are going to school (N.E. Ohio).

The horror was in the pit of my stomach I wondered how long until this type of attack spreads across the country? IF it goes beyond the "lone nut" case, and is a terrorist plot...

The bus was parked near an apartment building at a staging area where drivers get ready for their morning runs, state police spokesman Cpl. Rob Moroney said. He didn't know if anyone else was on the bus. Although this latest shooting has not been definitely connected to the other sniper incidents, it occurred near the sites of six confirmed attacks.

Anyone think to check out the bus drivers? Anyone absent lately? Think about it. Who, besides a taxi driver, knows the roads like the back of his hand?

Martial law would be an improvement here, at this point. They really are going to have to do something a little more pro-active. Of course, we don't know exactly what they are doing, nor do we know on what scale they're doing it. As far as this being Islamic terrorists, it feels that way to me, but that could be my own prejudice; I desperately don't want it to be a regegade policeman or solider. We simply don't have enough information yet to make an informed guess.
