Just got up on West coast to this yet again. Peach, is it possible this could still be a Muslim terrorist and the demand for money is another mocking of what they think our values are? Just wondering, I have no clue of course who is doing this or why.

Me Too... As I see more of the scene, it would have been a diabolically good target, if it was. Those drivers usually just sit there with the door open, the lights turned up, and the sniper could have been lying back in the tree line, shooting slightly up into the Bus.

If he is the shooter, he seems to know the area awfully well for someone who just got here about a month before the shootings began.

Yes, that's what I've felt from the begining. I think it's very possible the actual shooter is what al Qaeda and friends refer to as a "lily white." This does not mean his color, but the fact that he is not known in the area, has no criminal record, etc.

Someone, many many threads ago, obseved that the complete lack of details about this guy indicate that he is not somebody from the area. Nobody's likely to recognize him, or say, "oh, yeah, I work with this guy who talks about hostage situations and he arrived at work late on the day of this or that shooting."

Unless he's a real genius of reconnaissance - that is, he not only sets himself up where there are likely targets but knows the escape routes well - I think he's got to have local help that has been preparing this for some time.

Yes, it is wise to protect the survivors. And the sniper may want to go after family members. It's also a way to protect the survivor's families from the media pack.

...then there's the thing about the light sketch the FBI has, that friends of this guy have said resembles Mr. AWOL. I will go back and relink those articles from yesterday's posts...

I saw this article on the French defector/AWOL soldier, and the mention of both French and US police composites of the Frenchman AND the sniper. If the US police/FBI have a sketch or composite of the sniper, why has it not been released to the public?

Logic & common sense tells us to NOT
"wishful think" our way around this.
They can stop school(& buses) all the
time to "protect" children, but the
shooters will CHANGE TACTICS & kill
anyway, unless they are stopped.

It's time for 'everyone' to think about the long term consequences to stress..those people in that area, as well as their loved ones have to find peace in this middle of the storm.

At least in Fairfax County, lot of school bus routes start BEFORE 6, and a lot of commuting parents leave home by 6. Why do you think there is so much traffic stuck in the road blocks?
