1)Ban all civilian ownership of firearms.
2)Make self defense a crime
3)Allow uncontrolled third world immigration
Sound familiar? Its what's in store for the US if the demonRATs have their way.
So, if I go to England and get mugged, can I sue the state because it failed to protect me?
Somehow, I didn't think so.
Huh. I'm astonished. For those who may not know, the tiny humanities division of the faculty at MIT is very liberal and politically correct, not unlike the situation at Stanford.
But here's a professor at Bentley College (Waltham, Massachusetts) and adviser at MIT who is publishing this kind of anti-gun-control stuff in a book published by HARVARD UNIVERSITY PRESS.
Maybe this is just a one-time exception, but it's amazing and heartening to see that Harvard would touch such a book in these days of lockstep political correctness.
Bump for the 3 "S's"...
1)Shoot...
2)Shovel...
3)Shut Up!

No, no, no... They should encourage their "betters" to write even more gun laws! They shouldn't stop until Parliament is debating whether to ban fresh fruit or pointed sticks. When that happens, and the UK has become a crime-ridden hellhole, it will stand as a reminder to the rest of the world as to why the crazy Americans with their 2nd Amendment were right all along!
Concerned about the easy availability of guns in our society?
Alarmed about the "gun nuts" and other freedom wackos the government allows to run loose?
Wish the government would just repeal the Second Amendment and confiscate all the guns because you believe sensible people shouldn't suffer because of some idiotic notion about some antiquated right?
While we can't take the guns away from the people, we CAN take the people (or at least SOME of them) away from their guns.
At CAMP GUNFREE, we have created an atmosphere of near-total tranquility where you and your family will experience the benefits of a GUN FREE environment.
Each of our camps is a gated community designed to keep guns away from camp guests. Firmly enforced security measures ensure that these dangerous and destructive devices are kept outside. Each camp boasts 24 hour, 7 day a week sentries and state-of-the-art enclosure systems, guard dogs, trenches and surveillance equipment to absolutely GUARANTEE that no firearms enter the facility. Rigidly controlled access ensures that no guns can ever be smuggled in.
No cost has been spared to ensure that Camp GunFree remains gun free.
All camp members are given distinctive uniforms to distinguish them from any gun-toting barbarians who might attempt to evade our security measures. Each camp member is also assigned a distinctive ID number to ensure that only the right people are allowed within the camp.
The current headlines prompt us to remind you that there has NEVER been a shooting by a student in any of the camp schools and we can GUARANTEE that there never will be!!

Prior to the "assault weapons" ban, how many "assault weapons" had been used in violent crimes? Since the "assault weapons" ban, how many have been used?
Prior to the Brady Law, how many weapons were legally purchased on the day the weapon was used to commit a crime? Since the passage of the Brady Law, how many people have been injured or killed while waiting for their purchase to be approved?
In the 1990s, how many firearms made their way into the hands of private citizens? How many citizens are now legally carrying firearms on their person? What effect does the liberalization of concealed carry laws have on the crime rate?
Answer these questions, and you will know whether gun control works.
But modern English governments have put public order ahead of the individuals right to personal safety.
There's a book that hits the mark: "Dial 911 and Die".
The "public order" professed by the gun-control lobby and politicians and bureaucrats that support it looks more like chaos to me. Criminals that don't abide the law in the first place have no problem getting guns while honest citizens are forced to traverse red-tape laws to buy a gun to be used in honest self-defense against dishonest criminals. That chaos is what politicians, bureaucrats and the gun-control lobby consider the proper "public order" -- criminals having the upper-hand against their victims.
