Here is a link that refers to what Nachman was saying tonight.

they are not supposed to let the tapes keep recycling but some places let them go for a year without changing them.

I wish that was true. It does not make sense to me for some of places to recycle as soon as they do. After 911 I called and reported to the FBI something I felt was suspicious at one of the terminals at DFW airport in July 2001 and also asked if a survellence camera could have been present at the scene. Their response was that it probably had been recycled.

See you all here tomorrow.

Actually, from my experience, in convenience stores etc, they have a 24 hour tape system that just recycles over and over. They usually had 24 hours back from any given point, but that is all. Now banks and larger retailers may have 30 systems, but the cost to gas stations and convenience stores is pretty costly to have more than 24 hour systems. Those time lapse surveillance systems are costly. They don't always just 59 cent video tapes either. Either way, I wouldn't be surprised if the shooter(s) was/were on tape. But who would know. We don't have a real clue what he/she looks like. Got to have a description to know what to look for.

Video surveillance cameras have more capabilities than they use to. Do you remember seeing the gal who got caught on camera beating her child. The person runing the camera had the ability to zoom in for an amazingly detailed picture.

yes, but they were already surveilling her. they knew who they were looking for, and at. Not the case here.

Ok, now I'm going to bed.

Now, did Tuchman slip up or was this new information. (or was he adlibbing)

At this point, I don't know if any of the talking heads know what their heads are talking about.

Last night Moose use the media to get a message to the person who left a phone # via a message (don't know if last nights message was verbal or handwritten). Moose just ask the person to call LE at the number the message provider had provided and Moose asked the Media to repeat Moose's message often, loudly, and clearly.

When we awoke this am the LE had surrounded and had already removed the illegal Mexican from this vehicle that did not appear to be the vehicle that they had been talking about for the past two weeks. All of a sudden a Moose calls a press conference while the vehicle is being towed away. Moose stated that they had received the phone call but the message was not clear and asked that the person called them back. Once again Moose repeated to the media to repeat the message often.

Where the talking heads are getting their info is far beyond me, but I'm almost positive, its not from Moose.

Well, I think you would be surprised. The owner of the gas station today said he could read the temporary plates on the white van through his binoculars.

Where is Angela Bansfield? She can get the skinny. I did not see her show on any last week. Have they taken her off?

Here is my latest thinking about The Moose...The first murders were in his jurisdiction and he made the calls. Since then he has been designated "spokesman" for "cultural" reasons at the request of the Task Force that he is a member of.

I believe his Chiefs job is appointed and he is subject to removal on a whim of the council or Mayor if he screws up.

Using flares sounds like a good idea but it could also be extremely frightening and kids might start shooting them off. They are just too readily available.

Suggestion: Put out a message to folks to turn on their radio when they get into their car. Every car has one. If there were a situation, they could cut in and bring everyone to a halt as if a fire truck or ambulance were coming through.

It is going to take the "concerned citizens of the USA" to stop this shooter together with the "early notice" of the police department.

An amber alert type system could work even better and should be considered for long term use.

Yeah Ashley's been 86ed from prime time but she's still working at PSMNBC. She'll be on assignments.

The location is relevant, the target is random.

I've thought the same thing. I even wondered if his accuracy could be attributed to his picking out a spot such as under a particular lightpost. Whoever parks their car in that space is the target.

This would give a shooter a tremendous advantage. He could have paced off/measured the distance and sighted his weapon accordingly. He doesn't have to hit a moving target as much as aim at a spot and wait for a body to fill it.

Thats great, I like Ashley. I thought it was something wrong when i keyed in Angela, could not quite make out what though. Its been a long day, but an exciting one.

Just finished watching the rerun of Aaron Brown on CNN. It was reported that LE received a phone call Saturday night to inform them of the letter that was left at the scene of the crime which contained a phone #. The LE had the phone rerouted to the Taskforce phone. The person that wrote the message had the last two digits transposed. One number was to a residence(LE thinks this was the wrong #, the other to a business. Chief Moose responded to the letter on Sunday to inform the writer that they had received the number and for the writer to please call.

Monday a.m. Chief Moose called an impromptu press conference due to the fact that the Hanover County LE jumped the gun in pounding upon the illegals. Moose knew evidently from what was in the letter this was not the perp. Moose wanted to reassure the writer of the letterthat they had received the message and they (LE) was preparing a response. A little later a lady with the LE came out and informed the media that there would not be anyother press conferences until futher notice. I believe all this was due to the mass confusion of the apprehension of the illegals.

A little later Moose did come out and gave a somwhat press conference and informed the writer of the letter that they (LE)could not understand the message they had received over the phone, the audio was not clear and to please call back.

There was a demand for money, time line and for other things (which is not public at this time). And threats of continual murders if wishes are not carried out.

I don't know if you watched the press conference on Sunday evening, but while Sheriff Stuart V. Cook was talking and answering questions from the media, he was interrupted by one of his men and turned the press conference over to this guy and left the podium. My guess is this is when the writer of the letter called the Ponderosa to inform them of the letter left at the crime scene.
