Chief Moose Asks Sniper to Call Them Back
Beltway Sniper attempted contact last night !
Very short press conference where he simply states that the Beltway Sniper attempted contact and Chief Moose requested that he call them back.

The messages suggest more than ever that this is a homegrown nutcase.Then, why, if the FBI knows about these messages, are they taking the trouble to go to Cuba and talk to captured AQ about the sniper M.O.?
Also, most LEO agree that this is at least a 2 man team and that it's hard to keep a 2 man team quiet and undiscovered for this long.

It's not supposed to make sense to us. The person who left the message will understand it. This is a good thing -- maybe a real break in the case.

The "message" could have been the shooting. Moose didn't necessarily say the phone number was left in a message at the Ponderosa last night. He made two separate statements. Maybe the number has something to do with one of the other shootings and the police are trying to initiate, or reinitiate, contact. Or maybe not.

But the cnn gal on the scene, Daryn, jumped to the conclusion that the message was from the sniper, it took the guy in the studio to remind her that Chief Moose never said that it was from the sniper.
It is just driving the media crazy that they haven't a clue about what's really going on.
How 'bout if you report and let us decide what we think the chief meant by his statement.

What do you think about the police following his instructions so rigidly? Any merit to the idea that they should release everything, maybe add a little note of thier own saying that the shooter has said he is doing it to make up for sexual shortcomings or something, just to rattle his cage? Or is it better not to piss him off? What other threat does he have?
