...People here should read "Ultimate Evil" by Maurice Terry...heckuva book-demonstares that BERKOWITZ was, at most, one of a group executing the killings, and in some, at least, likely innocent; many years since read-isn't there a chance he didn't do any killing?

Isn't it? Was told they are doing FBI check, can pick up tickets Thursday and will be given directions to where the GOP faithful in my state will gather to meet President Bush. They are trying to keep it quiet and asked us not to report location until after event. Although, they admitted the likelihood of a successful "secret meet" is a dream. A word about President Bush - he comes across much better in person than on television, which admittedly isn't a good thing in a politician!

Is there a state park near Fredericksburg where someone could rent for a while or "camp type" rentals which would afford "hunters" a place to stay? I'm sure they wouldn't be using a white vehicle at the camp though.
Do these guys own an old garage or small auto dealership in a hick town where they can hide a vehicle in a bay??

If you go back in the threads to when we first got news of the shooting, you'll find all kinds of varying reports. The victim was shot anywhere between 7:59 and 8:45. He was shot in the head. He was shot in the chest. He was shot in the abdomen. And much of this was OFFICIAL sources putting out the info. Even the LEOs didn't agree as to the facts. I guess that is just part of breaking news. Everyone's talking to different sources and getting different "facts".
As to the time of the shooting, I go with the 7:59 since this is the first report. I figure the other times represent the time at which the corresponding LEO agencies, etc. were notified.

They also said, initially, he was shot in the back.

i met his daddy at PSU in '92 - was an old student at the time, and worked on the campaign in state college.
politics aside, he's a good man, and his kid's cut from the same cloth ...

Did anybody else hear this a.m., someone on FOX (I think a ret. police or something) say: "If the killer really wanted to throw a loop for the police is if he'd change the type of weapon he uses." I thought to myself, great, let's HELP THE SNIPER. We all know he's watching t.v. He's getting police tips to help him do "better." These people should shut up.

Unfortunately, you could be right. It certainly helps keep the need for the war on terrorism on the Washington Post's front burner, and keeps the Democrats and their b.s. off the front page and out of the media. Do you think the shootings will come to an end around November 6?
To: Sacajaweau
You really do have your thinking cap on this morning, girl! I would almost bet there are several campgrounds off I-95. Lots of retired people travel the roads in campers, etc.

That's what got Dubya talking with me at one of the meets - I'd said during the usual handshake down the line routine that I thought his father was a fine man. Dubya stopped to talk for quite a while then. Hadn't liked Dubya when he first appeared on the scene - don't believe in moderates for political strategy - believe in much more black and white - but he impressed me more than I'd anticipated. McCain was normal when the camera was on him and a complete nut case when the red eye wasn't on him. Many others noticed it and we were pretty shocked. He's been through a horrible ordeal and believe me, it's quite apparent when you meet him. May be a good guy, but mentally he is not presidential material. French toast is finally ready (stomach grumbling) - gotta go. Have a good one.

In all likelyhood, the white vehicle idea is a ringer.IMHO.

Me too. All this talk about being near an interstate, well, I hope they are checking and compiling data from all the nearby motels.

Americamps Campground: Located just 8 miles north of Richmond on I-95, Americamps is easily accessible from all directions and is an ideal stopping place for both north and south bound travelers. Take exit 89 (Lewistown Road/Rt. 802) off I-95. Head east on Rt. 802 for approximately 100 yards then turn right onto Air Park Road. Continue south on Air Park Road for about 3/4 of a mile to Americamps, Richmond North.

This is a team of perps and they do not work for a living.
They spend their time scoping out a new killing field, checking police patrols and taking notes.
It could be just 3 dudes who actually do the job but they have support behind them.
No crazy kids could pull this off. No nut-job could avoid screwing up for so long.
The cops are clueless and over-matched. They can only call for an ambulance and hold a press conference.
