Over 100 freepers and friends gathered in Sacramento, showing steely-eyed determination to "Dump Davis".
People filtered into the rally gradually, to the point that one moment it seemed almost empty and then we had a huge crowd to contend with. And all of them - peaking at over 100 people towards the end - showed their determination to "Dump Davis" through their signs, slogans and passion.
The formal portion of the rally started with a continuation of what was already happening, organized chanting of "Dump Davis, Dump Davis now", "Bill Simon Save Us ... From Gray Davis" and many more. Chants were led by both eGray hookers (clearly starting a fashion trend), ChickenMan, and two splendid costumed people: The Coin Operated Governor Guy, dressed as a cash register, with a costume lovingly made, and the truly over the top brilliant three-eyed fish, symbolizing the dumping of dioxin. The Davis bandit girl deserved support as not only having a great costume, but being the creator of the Coin Operated Governor Costume, which looked great.
The leftists mounted an incredibly weak response to the rally, which I suspect few noticed. About four people waved the standard boring "Experience you trust ... values we share" sign we've seen everywhere in the Davis campaign. Unfortunately, by the time I broke away from the speeches to film them, they were already gone. I think they were a little afraid of the obvious passion and drive of the crowd.
Next came the speeches, with any reference to electing Simon or dumping Davis provoking highly enthusiastic responses. Saundra Duffy wowed the crowd with her powerful anti-Davis arguments, and a woman I know only as Barbara made an amazingly powerful fire-breathing speech. This was a day of emotion, not logic, with the crowd eager to hear just about anything that inflamed their passions either for Simon or against Davis.
At the end, RonDog rallied the crowd to really stand up and be counted. He got them all near the steps of the capitol, all roaring with "Dump Davis". We then went over to the dump truck, stationed near the capitol, where there were more chants and cries. It was all very impressive, with well over 100 people in attendance, all chanting their hearts out.
After the rally, we left for the nearby Hyatt hotel to play my film, consisting of the freeper videos I have produced. This was the first time people were able to see what I'd done on the big (or at least not postage stamp sized) screen. Everyone seemed very impressed, including Jim Robinson.
This was a great freep, well worth the fare to Sacramento. I should mention that in honor of my first visit to Sacramento, I decided to obey their proposed laws and rent an electric car. It cost about the same as a Taurus, and barely got me to the Capitol and back before running out of power. (The Capitol is about 9 miles from the airport). I hope that if the legislature eventually requires 10% of all cars sold to be electric, they force themselves to drive only electric cars. That won't last long, trust me.
All in all, then, this was a magnificent freep, and I would like to thank RonDog for organizing it, Saundra and x for her kind hospitality, and the cast of hundreds that made this possible!
That cute little green car was a FReeper rental? I understand that GM cancelled their lease program-- infuriating many satisfied electric vehicle enthusiasts. For a mere $38,000, e-vz are a little out of my price range, but rich demoRAT and envirowackos now have a place to put their money where their mouth is and do something about all this bad CA air. /sarcasm

Great job RonDog, Saundra, Lager, Impeach[98]
Here's just a few candid shots from the rally.more
Are you trying to say I'm not logical?! Huh! LOL! Okay, so I'm emotional. I think too much logic is dangerous. Anyway, I had a ball today. Yahoo! And you, daviddennis, are a great videographer. We thoroughly enjoyed watching the footage of your previous exploits. This was one great day. For victory & freedom!!! (I really am going to bed now.)
Please explain; I don't understand. For victory & freedom!!!
I just hope that all your tremendous efforts will not have been fruitless.Since on your profile page you chose not to identify the state in which you live, I will assume that you do NOT live in California, so that your absolutely CLUE-less remarks (posted above) can be justified by an ignorance based upon misinformation widely promoted in the mainstream media.

GRAY DAVIS WINS................DOG CATCHER OF L.A. after being resoundingly defeated in his race to recapture the Govenor's Chair.
If so, you really need to get out more. :o)
Turn off the TV, throw away those left-wing newspapers, and start following the pro-Simon, anti-Davis FReep threads on this forum, if you REALLY want to know what is going on out here. And, lest you think that my words are just "...the adrenaline-driven, reality-erasing overdrive that keeps even hopeless candidates frenetic as they near the November finish line...," check out this recent analysis by one of the most well-respected minds in American conservative thought:

LAST SATURDAY morning, after another pratfall in a star-crossed, accident-prone and banana-peel-strewn campaign, a nevertheless ebullient Bill Simon, Republican candidate for governor in a state (California) that has not voted for a Republican Presidential or senatorial candidate since 1988 or for a Republican gubernatorial candidate since 1994, said: Were close. Noting the incredulity of his interlocutor, he added: I swear.
more-- snip --"...Simons campaign has resembled the 1962 Mets who, while losing 120 games, moved their manager, Casey Stengel, to look down the dugout and ask, Cant anybody here play this game?
Nevertheless, Simon resembles the Anaheim Angels:
"He cant be where he is but he is." - George Will
Love that dump-truck...
LOL!
"She reminds me of me"
EXTRAORDINARY FReep, Northern Callifornia FReepers!!!I need some help here, though!
In just a few hours I will be driving 150+ miles to Coachella to watch the "Chicken Man's" back as he and Tony in Hawaii and a few others go head-to-head with large numbers of UFW union thugs on their home turf - so I will again be OFFLINE for most of today.PLEASE add your DETAILED (positive!) comments, observations and PHOTOGRAPHS to this thread ASAP - and BUMP anyone that was there to do the same.
I was driving the DUMP TRUCK back to the rental company for a few hours immediately following the FReep, so I missed watching the daviddennis "Greatest Hits" video of our previous "Dump DAVIS!" rallies in L.A. - when he played it for you guys in Sacramento. What did you think?
Processing, editing and posting FReep videos is very TIME-CONSUMING - so the video from yesterday's FReep will not be available until some time next week - and it will be POWERFUL and COMPELLING at that time, but we need YOUR (positive) FReep reports NOW!What part of the FReep did you like BEST???
Who were all those college kids from Davis? Can you summarize some of the chants you heard, the COSTUMES you saw, your impressions of the DUMP TRUCK, the WONDERFUL speakers, all of the non-FReepers who were there, etc., etc., etc. What about the weak (lame!) MINI-counter-protest of the union thugs?
I expect to see OVER ONE HUMDRED (positive, uplifting) POSTS on this thread by the time that I get back from our "showdown in the desert" later this afternoon! One of the MOST IMPORTANT parts of every successful FReep is the post-FReep report, to permanently document EXACTLY what happened while the events are still fresh in your memory, and to SHARE our victory with FRiends (and even ENEMIES) all across California, and the world.
What say you, fellow "Dump DAVIS!" FReepers? Will you help me make this THREAD as wonderful as the FReep was?
CALIFORNIA HERE I COME
(One last Bush push for Simon?)

CALIFORNIA HERE I COME
While the national media continue to push the idea that Republican gubernatorial candidate Bill Simon is toast, the White House isn't so sure. According to one Bush Administration source, some tracking polls in the California -- even one apparently paid for by Gov. Gray Davis's campaign -- show Simon within five points of the Democrat.
"If those numbers can be borne out, and they hold, you'll see Bush in there at least once or twice before the election," says the White House source. "We aren't just going to give up on that. But the numbers have to be there."
Such a swing through California would probably focus on the southern part of the state, where Simon could have more swing votes. Bush would also use the left-coast trip to return by way of New Mexico, Texas and Florida, all states where critical election fights are being waged...
more
On Thursday, Rep. Tom Davis, R-Va., chairman of the National Republican Campaign Committee, singled out Simon's bid to unseat Democratic Gov. Gray Davis as the party's worst campaign anywhere.O.K., now I am REALLY pissed off."I don't think there's a worse-run race in the country than the governor's race in California for the Republicans," Davis said at the National Press Club...
It's time for some REGIME change, and here is MY order of priority:
1 - "FIRE Gray Davis!"From Ask Yahoo!:
2- Squash Sadam, and his "anti-war" supporters at home, and abroad - and
3 - PERMANENTLY purge all of the VILE "fifth column" back-stabbing Eleventh-Commandment-violating weak-knee-ed lily-livered RINOs like THIS bozo from the ranks of the GOP.
Dear Yahoo!
How was the term "fifth column" coined?Matt
Columbia, Maryland
Dear Matt:Great question! The Fifth Column. The Fourth Estate. The Third Man. All of these phrases can get confusing. According to Britannica.com, a fifth column refers to any clandestine group or faction of subversive agents who attempt to undermine a nation's solidarity.Who came up with the phrase, and what's with the columns? Emilio Mola Vidal, a Nationalist general during the Spanish Civil War (1936-39), originally coined the term. As four of his army columns moved on Madrid, the general referred to his militant supporters within the capital as his "fifth column," intent on undermining the loyalist government from within.
So the fifth column is a group of secret sympathizers or supporters of an enemy that engage in espionage or sabotage within defense lines or national borders...
This is very disappointing.
I sure am glad that California has Reagan-Conservatives among it's population who believe in standing up for the principles of liberty.
Ignore the pollsters! For Victory & Freedom!
I love this! Is someone drivin' this beauty around everyday?
