CNN Headline News is reporting that a woman has been shot near a Home Depot in Falls Church, VA, and that authorities are investigating whether this is another sniper attack.

Not that I wear a tin foil hat much .. but I thought of those jerks when the shootings happened at the gas stations

And if they are driving around in mom or dad's car ..that might explain why they haven't ditched the car

Better but still tough in this area. I live in Lorton and have been working lots of overtime lately (I'm in the office now in fact) so I see the area roads at all hours. The area is choked with traffic day and night. The cops don't have a chance unless they have info to narrow the search down to something doable.

Anything smaller is ill-advised for self-defense, imo.

Depends on the range and time of year. Test out some .380 Hydrashock at close quarter ranges for summer use. It may surprise you. I agree 9mm is better though. I prefer 147 gr fp or hp. Slow but heavy penetration any time of year. 147's give a really good combination of expansion and weight retention. The ones I've tested tend to expand more slowly than lighter slugs, which is a winter advantage.
