I work in a newsroom in Fredericksburg, and they heard on the police scanner that a person has been shot at a gas station at "Four Mile Fork" which is a neighborhood just south of the City of Fredericksburg.
No details yet, but I wanted to let y'all know -- and keep up the tradition of FReepers getting news first.
Pray for the victim, and pray that this is a random shooting, and that this monster's terror has not widened yet again.
Oh no, I did not just read that. LOL!
;)
I think the driver of that van should just call it a day and go get a beer.
Yep. And I think it goes back to the Fuhrman comment. That cops are not God, but that the shooter IS God. That the shooter is the one in control. That a cop can be 50 yards from you and still NOT be able to protect you!
Or--maybe the shooter is following a very specific set of rules on the kills. Is this a scavenger hunt of some sort? Only civilians on the shopping list (so far.) So are these self-imposed rules of the game, or does the shooter not have the authority to alter the game plan, even when a (presumably) higher-scoring kill presents itself?
I think there is a plan.
Which brings me to the question: In what game do civilian kills score highest? Terrorism.
This terrorism, no doubt about it. But, in my opinion, its homegrown. Civilian equals high score? I doubt it! Civilians would be at the bottom of the food chain, imo.
Really I will include ya'll in my prayers. Hope all goes well and ten little fingers and toes all wiggle as designed on the new baby.
Stay Safe and please don't name the baby "Tralphast"........:o)
Squantos maybe but not Tralphast.......
Stay Safe , Armed and CYA !!
They did. The cops are satisfied the driver paniced and fled in a wreckles mannor for fear of life.
Thanks, the maid said a woman driving and not sure if 2 people were in the van.
I still don't know if the white van is the shooting platform or the getaway car or if it's unrelated to the crime.
Oh. That's not good, then. Channel 2's frequency is 54-60 MHz, and antenna size is directly proportional to frequency. For Channel 2, we're talking of an antenna three meters across...
I do not think so.
Maybe he picks the area in will shoot in and then waits for a white van to appear and then does the deed.
Then he has to evade capture. Running or getting in a vehicle would surely make his capture more likely.
Are then any drainage systems/tunnels in the area that this man could be moving around in? Or just moving slowly in the woodlands, if the police think he will always try to be running, they will not really search a large area after a shooting.
In Yorkshire England in the late 70's or 80's there was a person who tried for the SAS and failed, so he went on a sniper-shooting spree.
They had to get a SAS tracker in to find him in the end and when they did catch him, they were actually inches away from him when the track saw him on the ground camouflaged.
He was shot. But it did take weeks and they were searching everywhere, but sometimes maybe its the obvious places to look (shooting area), rather than the roads and highways.
So get an experienced Tracker in and Track him down like a dog.
I also think the card was a decoy as the man knows they will bring in profilers. Which is leading the police in the wrong direction. Stay Safe
I'm with you...I'll pay half. Did you notice that the killing in Manassas the other day happened within an hour of the story about the guy they took into custody for shooting his house up. It's like the purpose for that shooting was primarily to let everyone know that he was still out there and we still weren't safe.
(*slaps self on forehead*)
Of COURSE!! Why, there's even a famous photo of Gore holding a .223 rifle. Hmmm... ;-)
